Just picked up my Gelatos & can't wait to try your techniques. Thanx for such good explanations & demos.
Thank you for sharing the photo transfer technique. I've seen another person do it, but they were not nearly so thorough in their explanations. I like the way this method allows the background to be seen through the photo. Great tutorial!

Thanks for all the great ideas. I have Gelatos and many stencils. Now I have a way to use them together!
Thank you, Einat, You have inspired me. I love your attitude and clear teaching.
OOOOH! I just found this- I cant wait to give it a try. I immediately ordered some transparency sheets from Amazon. I hope it works for me. I've been wanting to play with gelatos! My fingers are now itching to give it a try!! I cant paint or draw either. This opened a window to so many possibilities. I'm doing a happy dance!!

Einat, this is such a beautiful page! I have been experimenting with different photo transfer techniques, but haven't tried doing one in my art journal, thanks for the lesson! Also love the idea of featuring yourself, I am going to do this tonight! Thanks again for sharing!
Peace.
Thanks for watching! I hardly ever feature myself so this time I challenged myself :-)
I am excited about this photo transfer technique! I have so many ideas of what I want to create now!
It's very pretty, love your layers, thats what makes it unique and creative. I need to try the photo transfer technique to my collages. Very interesting!

Very nice, Einat, as always. A good result. Got to get some Gelatos.
Hi Coleen, great video thank you for sharing. I've never used Gelatos before.
Me, neither, Cassandra, but I want to. I'm an American living in Europe and our options are pretty limited. Maybe 2015 when I get back there I'll pick some up. Watch for Einat's vids, she always does a super job.
thank you so much for this tut! it's gorgeous, i love it, and i can't wait to try it!
You are a great teacher! Thanks so much.
Enjoyed this tutorial very much! Really inspired me to try photo transferring!!!!
Shabbat shalom. I'm glad I found your RUclips site. I bought Gelato's a while ago still in the box. I guess I'm a little afraid I'm going to try them now. Thanks for sharing your ideas!
I love this. The background was fantastic! .... I need Gelatos! Going to have to try the transfer too.

Thanks so much! You will have so much fun doing this, I promise!
Cool!! Thanks for sharing
I just started working with gelatos and I'm hooked!!
I like it. Guess I'm a little late watching. The photo image part was a neat technique and very lovely. Keep doing your thing. It's nice!!
Sorry. Pressed the downward thumb by mistake. I really appreciate your calm, step-by-step instructions. Thanks.
absolutely awesome
love your work , thanks for sharing .
Love this technique love your page thank you
Hi, I love this page! I was wondering, could you have gotten a similar affect if your photo was printed on plain white paper? I was thinking only the black toner would show up on the background....or is there a specific reason you chose the transparency route? Thanks for the video!! I really want to try this!
Such a wonderful page! I especially love the background and how the transfer lets it show though. Aren't gelatos fun?!?!?
thanks for the inspiration, love it!
Fabulous. I've had mixed luck with photo transfers. I'm curious to know what you are using for your journal.
+Michele Bernstein I use Dylusions or Moleskine art journals. Thanks for watching!
that looks amazing how do you get that image on that tranparent paper?
Exactly what transfer "paper" should we be looking for?? Is this printed by home printer? Ink jet? Laser?? Definitely would want to wait for it to dry completely.
Ink jet regular printer paper
I LOVE THIS!!!
Love this page :)
Beautiful
Love this very nice
Very good, thank you!
I appreciate the way that you move it right along! There are many videos with interesting subjects, but the presentations can be soooo slow and boring that I just can't watch them.
This is beautiful but what exactly is the plastic film with the image on it? I have some clients that may love to have that personal touch in their wedding albums
It's a transparency for a printer. You can get it in an office supplies store. There is a generic kind and some companies like HP also have their own brand.
I love ALL your videos. You are an awesome artist. This one is especially cool. I woud love to try this, can you tell me where to buy the transfer sheets? I have tried so many transfer methods and they always come out horrible.I would like to try this one.
Hi Truddi. This is a simple transparency for an inkjet printer that you can buy at Staples or any other office supplies store.
Einat Kessler thanks for the tutorial. just one question, can the image transfer be applied using this technique on to canvas as well?
Yes! Let me know how it turned out!
Einat Kessler thanks, i'll send you an email when it's done. :)
Can't wait :-)
Do all of these techniques work on wood? The Gelatos and transparency paper, specifically? I have a door that I would like to turn into an art piece and am trying to accomplish something similar to your journal page in this video, but am still trying to figure out how to make that happen on wood. Thanks.
Love It!!!
Coolness!
It is AWesome
I really am going to do this... I'm new to Gelato I only have a few colors...
What did you use exactly for the transfer? Regular Gel (gloss / matte (can use matte?) or Medium....I went to the art supply store and they have 2 different kinds.. I'm also using other medias on a burlap canvas, and bought a spray matte acrylic sealer.. So that's why I'm thinking about getting the gel matte for the transfer... Also I was thinking about priming the burlap with my Gel (matte)... any thoughts? Thanks for your help.
I used matte gel medium. about the burlap you can prime it with the medium but maybe you would need a few coats.
Thank you! I will try a couple coats and see what happens.
Let me know!
Thanks !! Great idea. Where do you buy the transparent paper?
Thanks, I will check online
Oh! just watched it again...Now I get it...without the transparent paper the watercolors probably would not have shown through.... I need more coffee! :(
Coucou, j'adore cette méthode de transfert photo mais quel est ce papier transparent ? Où puis-je le trouver ? Avez vous un lien ?
Merci beaucoup pour cette vidéo, votre travail est génial 😊👍🤗
This is a transparency for the printer. You can get it in any office supplies store
Amazing
Hello. Wonderful video. Do you know if this transfer technique will work using a laser printer. Thank you.
+Susie Ebright I haven't tried it. The ink flows differently on the paper so I really have no idea if it'll work or not. There are transfer techniques which only works with laser printing, but I don't know about this one. Try and let me know! Thanks for watching!
Use gel medium technique for laser prints - many vids on youtube about this
Where do you get the transparency paper?
I bought it in a craft store. I have an HP inkjet printer so I bought that company's transparency.
Please can you tell me the type of the chelates. As mine not doing the same effects thanks
These are Gelatos by Faber Castel
@@EinatKessler Thanks. I have got them my mistake was not to Apply gesso before use thanks.
Does it matter if you print the photo with an Inkjet printer or does it need to be printed using a laser printer?
what kind of paper is this
/
Did you use a Ink Jet printer or Laser?
I used a jet printer
Prity coooooool
היי עינת,
היכן יש להשיג שבלונות ?
תודה
What stencils are you using?
Crafter's Workshop and Prima
how did you make that photo?
It is all explained in the video
יאאאא, איזה יופי!!! :) איפה אפשר למצוא את הצבעים האלה בישראל?
This is very nice, and I would like to know where I can find these kind of colors and the other stuff? thanks!
The colors are called Gelatos and you can find them in craft stores even at Michaels. As well as the other supplies.
Dose anyone know if Gelatos are the same as watersouble crayons?
no, they're two different products
haha at 4.51 i see a dog facing left on the bottom of the page.... lol
cant see but one eye.
