Rammstein are legends!
I love the way Rammstein makes the world realise what a soft and beautiful language German can be. Btw: in Europe, almost all mountain-tops have crosses, traditionally.
Rammstein are absolutely epic, and virtually every single track has multiple layers of meaning, ambiguity, interpretations and are often very deep. There's a LOT of nuance, and word play as well within their lyrics, as well as cultural references so obviously some of these things are not apparent or not instinctively understood for non-German people -
a good example of this being the song "Du Hast"
(which you should certainly check out the video 'Du Hast Live in Paris directors cut').
In German "Du Hast" sounds the same as the words "Du Hasst", so the line "Du Hast Mich" actually sounds and would be understood as "You Hate Me", and due to the construction of German grammar and how it is different to English, it is only partway through that it becomes apparent that the words are Hast (Have) and not Hasst (Hate). That is just one small example of what I mean about the lyrics, word play etc.
Also, Rammstein are huge and they are currently on tour, in Europe at the moment, then in the summer they tour N America playing in Canada, USA and Mexico. I seriously recommend you try to get yourself a ticket and go see them if you can because you will be absolutely blown away, the greatest show you will likely ever see, and that is not hyperbole!
I recommend you go deeper down this rabbit hole, because Rammstein really are something special. I suggest your next forays into the world of Rammstein to be:
"Du Hast", Live in Paris (as mentioned above) &
"'Deutschland' official music video" from the 2019 album.
But PLEASE watch the official video for Deutschland and have the lyrics and translation available to pause and refer to, or go over after, and, this is important: *watch the official video, and watch ALL of it from start to finish!*
Sounds obvious but the number of people who crop the unbelievable intro and haunting outro are just soulless!!! and missing out on so much.

One week ago , I purchased the Rammstein's last CD , Zeit. It's very great ! Their live DVDs are spectacular.

The song appears to be about someone he is missing. But it doesnt quite make sense that way. For instance "With you I am alone as well". Maybe the song is rather about something, maybe a drug. Think of a junky on cold turkey. "I can not be without you ... I count the hours without you. With you all the seconds stop." And all of a sudden, the lyrics make perfect sense.

While most people presume this is another love song masterpiece, it remains one yet the hidden meaning concerns the Human grief about our lost soul and the spiritual fight to get it back after reaching the bottom in this "Tree of good and evil".
Great video clip symbolisms too.
Water creek flowing and drinking from it= emotional status changes.
6 men=6 is a perfect number and symbols the matter in Platonic solids (cube).
Mountain climbing and falling=an obvious one, rock=low awareness.
Mountain top Cross=Golgotha spiritual path (hint for non-religion Jesus words here?).
Snow=coming in contact with our essence, our soul which had been cooled down to exist in this "tree" from its initial pure Light and Fire form. And so on.

The lyrics are about loss and how everything becomes meaningless. And the video shows that despite him letting go and being a lost cause that cannot be saved his friends carry him to the top so that he can die up there where he wanted to go, in the light, looking far and wide over the world, surrounded by his friends (and not abandoned and alone). The cross is called a "Gipfelkreuz" which literally means mountainpeak-cross. Many european peaks have these.
Ooooh, Rammstein! I have to admit that over the years i was not that interested in them, until their new stuff (2019+).
"Zeit" and "Deutschland" are incredible with poetry and Video visuals, and "Dicke Titten" is just awesome! :-)
Do check out "Zeit", you will not regret it. "Deutschland" demands a bit of history knowledge.

Fabulous reaction! You nailed it: so deep and sad, Rammstein is so underestimated with their lyrics! They are imo so poetic and smart no matter how aggressive they might be. My advice: when you listen to Rammstein always with the lyrics/translation in your case 😉

Well that was the first time, they filmed in Tirol. They where at Pitztaler Gletscher. The second time was recently in Ellmau with "Dicke Titten", but you might know it anyway and I write it with an I, because I was born in Tiro/Kitzbuehel. I do not live there anymore.

Thank you for the great video! Contrary to popular belief this is not a love song nor one to grief a lost beloved person. It is rather an ingenious way to show the absolute harshness of our path to finally find our Snow white/Penelope/Eve=our soul, our essence, which is directly linked to our higher self and has all the knowledge.
Symbolisms everywhere, 6 men, number 6 representing the carbon12-based matter, water creek flowing, water representing emotional fluctuations and desire, rock mountain climbing representing going over low vibration consciousness and many more..
But the highlight is the mountain top Cross..
Time to really study and analyse ourselves what Jesus really said beyond (all) religions and priesthoods. Liberation is guaranteed.
Think about it. By asking questions to yourselves. Answers will come, trust me. But don't judge where they come from, keep your spirit open.

Rammstein is not my favorite band however if you face another title from this great German rock band prepare yourself for surprises, (this title seems like a whisper for them) their style is rather hard rock
rather selects their live performances in concerts than their clip (small detail the members of the group all have a fireworks diploma ...........)
yes, the live shows are just something else, amazing! But their official music videos are almost all cinematic masterpieces, the crazy amount of details, the acting, the story, I think some of their music is best enjoyed live, others by the official videos, or both wherever possible!
Btw, all mountains in Europe have a big cross on the top. That’s not something special about this video. ;)
