Totally agree, no need to purchase every perfume . My tastes change as well. I end up giving away perfume to relatives over time because I no longer like them.
Great video! Awesome advice! I have learned to keep sampling a perfume I may be dying to get. The more I test it before I buy it… I find I get a better feel for how the perfume wears on my skin and what I find most of the time is that I end up disliking it enough not to want to add it to my collection. Like you, I only want bangers!

@MargaritaThePerfumista Hello. One of these fragrance addiction vids cane up in my feed about 2 weeks ago, and ever since then, more have been showing up. One thing that I find strange is that many of the channel hosts that are providing guidance on fragrance addiction have hundreds of bottles on display themselves. Its like the pot calling the kettle black. Just because a person can pay for their addiction doesn't mean that they dont have one. Its like the celebrity that owns 50 cars. Do they need 50 cars? In your case, when you said that the only reason you have so many bottles is because you view the acquisition of bottles as collecting pieces of art. To me, that just sounded like justification for not being able to stop purchasing fragrances. I have a 43 bottle collection that took me 3 years to build. I paid for all with cash or my debit card. But when I got to 20 bottles, I started soul searching and questioning whether I had an addiction. Its only 40 bottles, but I still think its an addiction because I haven't stopped purchasing yet. We live in a global collective that encourages wasteful spending and living in excess.
@Nebuheru thank you for elaborating. Please understand that an appreciation for something is not necessarily an addiction, especially if one is truly enjoying the items that they collect and curate. One person's perception of excess may be another's perception of minimalism. It's all a matter of perspective. If having things only because we need them, that's not real enjoyment in my opinion. It's great to also be able to have things we want. If people were buying things just for the sake of having them or buying them, then yes, that could be a red flag, but have them, use them, afford them and enjoy them, that's far from addiction. I'm curious, please remind me which video I said that the only reason that I have so many bottles is because I view them as works of art, as I don't recall. Also, I'd love to know why this would be indicative of an addiction.

Great strategy. I buy decants a lot now and i usually don't want the bottle after I finish a 10ml decant.
