My dad had a similar problem in a dealership in hampshire. It went on for ages, and they kept changing the date. He went in there in the end and said, You have messed me about for the last time i want to cancel. There were 2 other people in the shop and he shouted why are you 2 here you wont get a car from them. I have been waiting months, there shite 😂. Just over a week later he got the car when he was told it would be another 6 weeks. Funny that. Go in there and tell them your not happy and threaten to cancel. Easy to fob someone off over the phone. Different story when your face to face.
It's a common problem these days with delays, car dealerships will lie and promise earlier dates just to get the sale. I waited 4 months for my current car with Mercedes, luckily I had a run around while waiting. My wait time was longer than the 4 months initially, but it came in earlier - so it does happen, you could end up getting it earlier. My sister in law waited 15 months for her car to be delivered 😂🤦♀️. Personally I'd wait until the 29th May, if you can manage without a car I really would preference getting a brand new car over a used car. You are covered with a new car, not so much with a used car despite the guarantees they give.
Aww sounds a nitemare id say wait it out but i really hope its ready then coz i no u really want it for summer nothing worse passing ur test an cant drive jus pray pray pray its ready for may now ❤
Aww Steph they are taking ages arnt they and you must feel messed about but they do say they take ages from dealerships... I hope they dont delay it again... And i would wait it out for the 7 seater rather than a 5... You would still have problems and additional costs if you all wanted to go somewhere....ive been there and if you can i woukd deffo wait it out xx
My friends just said you took this many years to actually finally do your lessons and pass what’s 6 more weeks she is right and we will lose our cash deposit if I cancel and I don’t think I can afford to lose that my insurance on the duster is over £80 more too because it’s diesel and 2ltr engine so I’ll be paying more each month for a second hand smaller car 🤦🏻♀️ x

We have a Dacia from the dealership in Liverpool as do a few other family members. I would wait it out. They are really reliable and waiting 3 or 4 months really isn't that unusual. We waited 4 months for ours.
Did they ever give you an estimated wait time or prolong your wait time ? I’m worried we’ll wait out until end of may and they’ll extend again. Especially giving I’ve only just passed my test I don’t really want to wait any longer.
@6littlelambs we ordered it in August last year and were told it would be a few weeks but they didn't know exactly yet and would be in touch. About 3 weeks later they emailed my husband and said ours was in production now and estimated to be in the UK early December. Then in late November we got a call saying it was going to be ready for us on the 14th. So we had two minor delays but they did deliver in the end and so far its been a decent car.

They don’t need to really it’s In the t&cs that their is possible delays there is all kinds of problems with new cars being imported at the moment we can cancel at anytime though x
I know honestly I’ve felt the same the only thing swaying me is my insurance is so much cheaper on the jogger and it fits our size family my dad and friends are saying I’m daft to cancel it but imagine if we wait and the date changes again I won’t forget how to drive but I don’t want to be nervous getting in it x
