Super video. It’s more than 30 years since I walked the WHW. Still rains as much it seems. I remember being soaked most days. But you just kept smiling. Congratulations on you walk. Your video brought back many memories.
I would definitely rate it a 10/10 especially when you’re getting into hiking and want to do a trail where you really decide the difficulty yourself. Denmark is beautiful in a completely different way. It’s more about fields and coastline 🇩🇰
@@RuneRavn i done it back in 1983 when it was a narrow dirt track almost the whole way. No camping sites but wildly beautiful.. I sat up till 5am watching yous, the 2 ladies & husband who done it last week and abbie. it was magical watching your vlogs and better than anything on netflix. If you come back you should try Durness in the far north. The place is mindblowing.

Great video! I appreciated seeing places to eat and tent, as my son and I will be wild camping. We won't go until next year AFTER he thru-hikes the AT this year. Best of luck to you when you hike it!
Glad I went back and watched that. Looks like a great trail. Great job vlogging that as usual for you!!! Another question for the AT. Is there a reason why you choose to vlog with a go pro as opposed to a phone?
I walked it late August-early September. Thought it was a bit overrated to be honest. Scenic at Loch Lomond, Glencoe and Rannoch moor pretty spectacular but much of the rest pretty hum drum. It did rain for much of the second half of it so that probably affects my opinion of it. I also made the mistake of carrying too much weight, and although I managed it, it became a slog at times. Doing the Great Glen Way at the end of this month.
Since it was my first real hike I’m definitely also biased. I will always recommend to people getting into hiking. If you’re more experienced, this might not be the trail for you. I do think it’s beautiful no matter what 👍
Really enjoyed your video. Hoping to do the way next year. Did some section hiking on the PCT last year and I’ve no doubt you’re going to enjoy the thru hiker life of The AT. What camera are you using? The quality is exceptional!
Heh Jens, vi brugte ingen app da stien er meget vel markeret, så det er bestemt ikke nødvendigt. Jeg har en anden video hvor jeg forklarer mere præcist om turen
Thank you for sharing. The WHW is such an amazing trail.

in my opinion this is the best whw travel video so far on RUclips
This looks like a really cool blend of scenery, hiking, nature, along with some tourist stuff. Might be a good hike with kids, no?
Great video :) Thanks for sharing your experience! You got me excited to get out there too. Wishing you a wonderful time on the AT!
Glad you enjoyed it! And you should be, it’s an amazing hike. Thank you!

Hi, Great Video - what size packs did you and your girlfriend use?
We used a 70 and 65 liter 👍 depending on your gear you could definitely go lower
@@RuneRavn great thanks! I've gone for a 55L so hopefully that be ok.
It should be. Have an amazing hike!
