- Jessica is questioned in front of the grand jury regarding Dylan's case. Sally warns Dylan that he should seek legal counsel from Connor, but Dylan believes Jessica will convince the grand jury there is no case against him. Omar tells Taylor two guests will be coming to dinner and she is invited. Ridge and Brooke arrive at the palace.

Which is why, in alot of ways I agree with Steph that she needs to mature a bit and finish school b4 making decisions to affect the rest of her life.
I think that's what she should have stressed in the hearing - "I'm an Iowa girl and this is legal back home. I was already old enough to consent when I was living in Iowa. I had no idea I _became a minor again_ when I moved to LA a few months ago."
This is what makes this whole storyline so ridiculous. In the state where Jessica grew up and her parents raised her, she was _already_ old enough to have s ex legally with anyone a year ago, as the age of consent there is 16. But there's also a "Romeo and Juliet law" - with an age difference of less than four years, like between Jessica and Dylan, the age of consent is even lower, so in Iowa Jessica and Dylan would have been allowed to sleep together legally from the day Jessica turned 14 (when Dylan was 17) _more than three years ago._

All she knows is, this is the first guy ever to pay her attention and make her feel pretty and she's in love.
Only someone so naive would agree to go testify in front a grand jury to "save" her bf without even understanding how it works or what she's really getting herself into. She should have prob had a chat with resident lawyer, with knowledge of all things law in every sphere, Connor.

Jessica really does resemble a Young Brooke. Like from the earlier/1980's seasons. The thumbnail almost looks like a flashback! (Though KKL is a better actress and Brooke's storylines aren't dull like Jessica's)

Sometimes I look at Steffy and Hope, yes they are beautiful, but the plot is now devoid of this classic tension, the deep of the drama and the intensity of passions...

Brooke\ kkl still star of show is beautiful. Margo was very beautiful. Shelia these shows is a handsome women. The actress jw who plays Steffy is ok, but already at young age had work done. The first Hope I thought was very beautiful!

The Writers are making it out to be the serious crime that it is.
If Jessica got pregnant then people might understand the seriousness of this crime. Stephanie and Eric are quite right to deal with Dylan in accordance to the law. The ramifications of statutory rape and teenage pregnancy are very serious, and the effects can last a lifetime.

Well said! She easily could have gotten pregnant (or an std) because the method they used is not 100% reliable. If Jessica had gotten pregnant, this would have put Stephanie (the legal guardian) in a very awkward position.
True but let’s face it, the only reason Dylan was even charged was because of the clout of the Forrester family. The detectives even said when this started how very rare it is to have a case life this. This was the early ‘90s and you can bet there were a lot more young people having sex with a wider age gap. This was a one time occurrence for the couple who are no match for the Forrester’s.

A baby resulting from this kind of encounter often grows up in a single home with mental scars beyond healing. Its a very serious crime. Males usually know what they are doing while some females thinks its love.
