The show is much better than the books. The show makes all the characters more likable. Belly is less whiny and immature, Conrad is less of an asshole, and Jeremiah is more relevant in the show.

@@JazzyW26 I’m still team Jeremiah even if he didn’t technically cheat but I fact checked Jenny Han said that she was open to changes in the series, so who knows. Guess we’ll have to find out. In season three if it’s renewed

They filmed the show in North Carolina! Also the point of a Deb hall dress is for it to look like a wedding dress since it’s a hall gown - it wouldn’t be a deb dress if it was flowy and not a ball gown.

I always team Conrad because in the books he was always second choice. He also didn’t seem to like her until he realized that Conrad liked Belly. Also in the book it is heavily implied that Jeremiah only pursued Belly because he wanted to compete with Conrad and win.

@@debbiep2813 I mean in the books it does not seem like Jere likes belly until he realizes Conrad starts looking at Belly differently. That’s when Jere pursues Belly and he even says right after their first kiss, I always had to compete with Conrad for everything.

I got into this show totally blind and it was so great
I am very much team comrad I actually find myself crying when Conrad left the motel room and left belly and Jeremih and then I did not know what team was on properly until that moment then I realised it was comrad because I actually started crying at the thought of him not being with Belly very much prefer quiet shy introverted troubled complicated characters so everybody has their own opinion but definitely team comrad.

I just watched the show, I watched up to episode 4, and found out it was inspired by a book lol sorry late to the party. I couldn't handle it, so read the first book, then watched episode 5, and went nuts, so I found all 3 books on RUclips as an audiobook, with both Lola, and Chris doing two of the parts and binge listened to all 3 because I needed to know what was the endgame for the books. 😊❤ I then finished season one. When season two came out I watched it as it was released and am just waiting to see how they toil we us on this emotional roller coaster of a journey. I'm telling you I haven't felt this way about a show since I watched the first season of Felicity. The friendship and Love between Susannah and Laurel is GOALS. The journey of finding yourself and young love is powerful and beautiful. Love your reaction! Can't wait for episode 5!
