Vas !!!! Thanks so much . I made the methi pak today . It was my first attempt and I used vegan ghee. It turned out well and very tasty . ( though mine looks slightly darker than yours) I couldn’t have ever attempted it without your step by step recipe and accurate measurements. Keep it up! I can’t thank you enough. My mum was so proud of me , for making this methi pak . Hugs to Lando.
Hello Vas, just like to say this is very well documented in every sence, this is how my mom use to make every year and she past away some years ago so now I have your recepi to fall back, I use to help my mon with mix because it was hard work, my mom use to line the Tali with just oil and then she use to warm the the bottom and side before unmolding and also she use to grind the nuts fine so it does not break up the Pak during cutting, but your process is perfect. I also like your commentry and adivice not repeating over and over again, well done and your mom is just like mom, isn't she lovely.
Thank you so much for your lovely words! I’m impressed that you used to help your mum make the Methi Pak! It makes you appreciate the effort that goes into making it. Hats off to you! Enjoy this recipe and thank you again 🥰

Amazon has heavy duty rubber one it is very good and our hand don’t get soar. I wish I can send u the pictures of that. But from comment I don’t know how to do it. I think every kitchen should have it 16:40
Omg! I’m all emotional watching this video.❣️☺️ The methi paak is certainly looking delicious but i must say your mum is soooo sweet and cute😘 god bless her with long and healthy life now and always. This recipe is long and hard work, I don’t think I’ll be making it this year but it’s definitely a traditional recipe to follow not only for me but for the future generations too.Thank you masi for sharing your knowledge!🙏😊
Thank you! Yes, my mum is so cute!! She loves to make this kind of food! And the recipe is long but it makes plenty! And it's delicious too! I'm loving it! Enjoy it when you do make it!
@@MilhaanHome all mums love Ghee for sure 😀 and look how they still got energy and enthusiasm at this age, that’s a secret of their long and healthy lifestyle.

Yes, sugar is terrible! You could also try jaggery which is pure cane sugar in its natural form. Ingredients are available in your local Indian grocery store.😊
You could use jaggery if you like. Try the same amount as stated in the recipe, then taste and adjust it. You may need more as jaggery is heavier than icing sugar.
Great question! Yes you can. The flavour and texture may be slightly different but it will still be delicious! I’d use the same amount of jaggery as icing sugar. You can adjust it if you like. Enjoy!
I made it today with icing sugar as decided not to deviate from your recipe. It is waiting to be cooled but taste a little bitter as struggled at the end with the icing sugar and should have switched off heat.
@@MilhaanHome Infact,we both like the taste. It wouldn't taste the same if it was sweeter. Will definitely be making this more often. Thanks to you and your mum for explaining it in detail which made it easy to follow a very difficult dish. 🙏🙏🙏

if I don't have urad flour would that be ok if I crush urad dal?
You'd have to make a very fine flour from it, but that's basically what it is - finely crushed Urad Dal.
The spatula a name is DI ORO Silicone Spatula 16:40
