I wish there was more videos out there for the smallest case you can use. Everyone seems to want the most rigid head strap with no concern about foldability, placed in the center of a 3 gallon case.
I just want a reasonably comfortable quest experience I can travel with. If it takes up half my roller bag, I end up leaving it behind more often than not
Aubika just came out a case in mini size. Nearly half of the one in the video. But I guese you need a default strap to fit in cuz it's too small to hold a head strap.
If you are using the default headstrap from a meta quest 3, I feel sorry for you. Do yourself a favor and get a Bobo M3 (the one without the fan)
@@youwouldntclickalinkonyout6236 dunno how else to say this: I travel. If I use a rigid strap, the headset doesn’t come with me.
So my choices are:
-use the headset with a strap, any strap, that folds or compresses to not require a massive carry case;
-sell the headset because I don’t get a chance to use it.
Not everyone wants to turn a portable system into a giant brick that stays in their VR room. Might as well get base stations then.
@@xpeterson The BoboVR C2 Case fits the headstrap easily. So Not really sure what your talking about. You do need a shirt or pair of socks to keep the controllers from moving in the headset space but other than that it works perfectly and isn't "Hard" sided but is very rigid could handle being dropped.
@@youwouldntclickalinkonyout6236 Is the bobo case smaller than the official case from meta? Because that one takes up half a roller bag. Per my original post, that wouldn’t come with me.
What my original post is getting at is that most cases out there are not travel friendly unless all you want to bring is clothes for a couple days and a VR headset. Right now I’m using a case that barely fits the headset with a custom face cushion and a rubber bit for the back of the head that slides onto the default head strap, and that BARELY fits.
With the size advantage the quest 3 has over the quest 2, why aren’t there more compact cases taking advantage of that fact

I’m just tryna a find a carrying case that fits the new bobo vr s3 pro super head strap for the meta quest 3
I can get the S3 in the official meta case. it's a tight fit and at $70 it's a little hard to recommend but it gets the job done.
Personally I just use my official Quest 2 case, fits fairly well and the controllers fit perfectly. The headset rattles around a tiny bit though due to the smaller size
Has somebody tryed one of these with the valve elit strap, are the headphones in the way or is there enough room for them
Why would you put controls so near to the lenses??
the q3 controllers drain battery like crazy, and if theyre not held in place, everytime they move, they wake up and turn on... so yeah... i have a third party case and am getting the og meta case now cause of that
So, you showed the BoboVR battery fits in the Oculus case, but what your video doesn’t answer is what are the case choices that fit the most popular headstrap. i.e. The BoboVR M3 Pro. This would be really helpful. 😎
I need a video showing this. It's always either expensive or scrapes the cameras onto the side of the case
I have the bobvr m3 pro strap and official meta quest 3 case. It does not fit at all. Not even close!!!
@@mingalinger Indeed! I have a new case, and I’m waiting for my BoboVR M3, and I’m expecting it won’t fit my case either. That’s why we really need a RUclipsr who has a BoboVR M3 and a variety of review cases to make a video that covers this subject. Just telling us that the BoboVR battery fits in the Oculus case, without mentioning the actual headset, is kinda misleading. 🤔
I use the Zyber case with the Bobo M3 and it works great.
@@WakeMikey I ended up with a really nice $20 case from AliExpress, and at first I thought the M3 didn't fit, but all it needed was just lilfting up the hinged back a little, and it is a perfect fit. The case brand is listed as GUANGHE, and it's 13.2 x 9.7 x 5.9 inches in size. Designed for Quest 3 so has the camera notches and nice vertical controller slots, as well as a lidded storage compartment that's perfect for the BobVR M3 batteries.

Those cases all have issues with room and/or securing the contents to prevent damage. The oculus is overpriced with a crappy zipper. The module that holds the controllers is the only benefit. The Bobovr case and VORI Case have more going for them in the way of accommodating third party head-straps and securing contents with most of the same pluses as well. Good vid production though.
I would much rather see it fit than hear about how it fits. Thumbs down.
Thanks but like most and I can say that for fact most of us never bought a Quest 3. Its not doing good at all so... oh you have to get a new head strap, new mic, new battery addon... on and on. So much of that META new and all the KISS UP fans say nothing but have no problem telling OTHERS how to speak there money. We didn't get any thing free
