i'd have to agree, both sam and max are inseparable. when sam loses max, he becomes a shell of his former self, losing his comedic wit and relying on needless violence to solve the case. respectively, when max loses sam, he panics and his attitude completely changes - his only thoughts are of sam. they're made for one another, and they cannot live without each other.
I love the scene at 0:45 so much like sam automatically assumes max has lost his brain because he doesn't want to come with him and the way max says 'I'm OK I'm ok' is the softest he ever sounded this gonna live in my head rent free forever

this line and the "you should've thought of that before we left" live eternally in my brain for how uncanny they feel edit: I forgot about the "are we going to see any aliens on this tour" where his voice goes higher pitched towards the end of the sentence

Rob Tinkler's Max is my favorite vocal performance of the whole series full stop. He uses so much range and variation for a seemingly one-note character, brings the relationship between Sam and Max to a whole other level

The series in general follows sam and max, vigilantes that hunt after wacky criminals while being immoral themselves. its really funny and does not take itself seriously at all. the majority of the charm comes from their extremely close partnership! 100% recommend but do be warned only the show is family-friendly.
