@Tennessee E Up at a few retailers. Pay attention to knife sites for the next few days as they will come in and out of stock www.adamsknifeworks.com/store/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=63&products_id=7519 www.knifecenter.com/item/HK54035/hk-knives-by-hogue-micro-incursion-otf-auto-knife-154cm-stonewashed-clip-point-plain-blade-silver-aluminum-handles
Bro, thank you for the review! I feel like your video could’ve been compressed to about 8-9 minutes, but overall was good listening to your review and opinions.
Bro, Great all around review! I’m a lucky California legal resident :) ... (sarcasm). Anyway, I just came across your channel, and I’m glad I did. Thanks so much !
It can be confusing. The "regular" utx-70 is not CA legal because it has a full size blade. This version in my video is legal since it has the sub 2 inch blade. Just double check the description, both are still referred to as UTX-70s, so it can be confusing.
@@CoyoteEDC Yeah it is confusing haha. Yeah just looked at my order and i guess it’s a regular one so I’m not gonna be able to carry it 😂 but oh well. I’ll end up ordering another one next time lol. Great video man 👍👍👍🔥
I've had two utx 70 knives. One of them malfunctioned as well but I just bought the tool to fix it myself. The spring inside is made of really thin wire and it slipped off the latching point. The same thing probably happened to yours. As for this mini troodon... kinda sucks that it's more expensive than a full sized ultratech lol... I guess they know Cali residents are desperate for autos.
It seems that most of the CA OTFs are really sought after, almost always out of stock. The only one at this point you can pick up anywhere is the standard model Exocet. I think they want the artificial scarcity to drive up some demand.
@@CoyoteEDC I know. It's a very very very rare item that I see reaches 6k$ because of it. It being single action is why it's better, but still unobtainable for the most part. Even the china copies can't replicate how thin the original is, which is why I think it was discontinued quick. Too thin to uphold true quality use, but still gold quality :)
I'm not going to finish this review. Already 4.36 into it with no mention of price. Reviews which ignore price, or even treat price as not worth mentioning up front, are a joke. So folks, I stopped the video and checked. This is a $300 knife. A $300 toy for knife collectors, not a knife for the rest of us. Not a review for the rest of us, either.
If you are searching for information on a Microtech knife, you probably know the price already. (hint, they are pretty much all 300+ dollars) But you are correct 💯 , if you didn't know the price going into the video, this probably isn't a knife for you.
It’s one of those things if you have to ask the price it probably is t for you. Most people looking at microtech knives knows they are approaching 300. This is a year later I guess but you can find the 70 for around 260 now
Any ETA on the Hogue Micro Inc? Know of any wait list?
Got mine here: www.adamsknifeworks.com/store/product_info.php?products_id=7478
Mine should be here next week sometime.

Thanks for watching. Appreciate the comment.
Is the utx70 California legal? Or is there a California legal variant? I just ordered one but not sure lol.

The Mini Troodon is hot. I need one of those. Excellent video
Thanks for watching!
Been trying to find one sold out everywhere
Great knife well made

Been carrying full sized Microtech's for years here in California with absolutely no problems....dont be scared.
ever got caught with it though?
Can you go over the Exocet as well?
I have one incoming from Knifecenter. Will cover it soon.
Love the Crimson Caravan stikcer.
👊
Highly doubt the utx was broken...compressed air and REM Oil will help with sticky action.
It was broken, I had it slip and get off track a few times, this was different. Microtech warrantied it, so no problem long term.
Got me the Exocet tanto in champagne 🥂
I love the color variants they have for the Exocet!
You forgot the rare halo mini lol. It's better than what's in your video
I thought about mentioning, it, but it is so unobtanium right now, I didn't bother.

It's pronounced Tro-odon not Troo-don, like the dinosaur.
I mean I can’t even find a utx soo...
Yes, can be really hard to find in stock. Microtech loves creating demand with low production numbers.
I just bought a utx from pvk vegas knives. Arrived 3 days ago. All black with black tanto. Dated 11/2020 on the pocket clip.
@@rjw7227 Looking around at different dealers is the right strategy to get one!
