Fun fact: the stock Alpine a110S facelift 300hp stock has a nurburgring time .3 second quicker than the 450hp M2 CS
Adding lightness and having a good handling makes the difference, my friend!😉
@@leomux2004 yes! And the M2 CS surely has a good handling but the handling on the Alpine is on a different level!
After the off he knew the limit of the tyres and asjusted his lines and braking points for the rain. Cant wait to see what it can do on a warm dry summer day
Looks like he did 7min 08 BTG on the dry
At the start I thought this is gonna be a scary lap. But after the off he settled in quite nicely. Good lap considering the conditions in such a tricky lightweight car. ✌
The rain is a game changer, that's for sure. It makes for a interesting lap. It definitely tests your skills. Thanks for bringing this to us.
There was hardly any rain.
@@larslrs7234 wet road reduces grip by around 30% on its own, no hydroplaning or anything needed.
A110 Alpine prepared by MP Rezeau, whose work focuses on lightening, aerodynamics and chassis / braking preparation. With a 304 hp "only" engine, this 1034 kg model produced a BTG time of 7'13 on a video from argus, and went down to 7'04 in theoretical.
What a wonderful little car. You should definitely give it another go.
Magnificent how well the Alpine A110 works on rain. Would like to see an further Lap whit good weather. 😀👍🏻
Loved that twangy engine tone and those burbles from the exhaust, fantastic combo!!!
Very quick for the conditions! For the "dry line in the wet" guys, you can't tell from video how soaked the tarmac already is, neither can you tell how warm the tires are.
In the later part of the lap (Pflanzgarten) he adjusted to more of a wet line as the rain increased.
This is an m2 killer gr yaris killer. Believe it or not this car is so amazing. Made for cornering. The weight distribution! The chassis! The mid mounted engine. Very very underrated car
Driving a mid engine car in the rain is like balancing a dollop of butter in a hot frying pan, well done!
you can see in Misha's eyes an urge to tell about the "wet line"... but he holds it, because driver's etiquette
Wenn die Renn Regenreifen hatten, gibt es keine Regen-Line. Die ist nicht schneller mit richtigen Reifen
My guess is that Misha knows, and trusts the driver.
Amazing car. Misha, I dont know how you stayed so calm during that drive. I would have panicked after driving across the grass. "Stay on the wet line"
He gave u some glances while you were looking your phone 4:57-5:00.. Then he seemed as he tried to make you look at the track instead of your phone at 5:12 or is it a typical way of take this turn? I wonder 😅
Proper Renault with check engine light ON and the wrench as well… 😂
You are very funny, hope someone had told you already... 😑😑
@@Porkycheun You need to get a sense of humour bud!!!
@@sanmiguel4019 You need to be funny first.
Bud.
@@Porkycheun yes, I’m told everyday, and I’ve driven Renault cars for my work for a few years now, and they are very well known for their « christmas tree » lights display, when at some point a lot of lights come ON, you turn it Off and on again and they’re gone. My boss changed the Renault this year and we now have Peugeot cars, so far it’s Ok.
@@Porkycheun it's all jokes, don't be upset haha
These little things are supposed to be awesome, haven't had the pleasure yet myself, but have a shot everytime Misha adjusts his belts, lol Rj in Oz
2:28 is the sketchy moment palos mentioned
Appreciate it!
fucking legend
WOW! never thought I would see this car featured! I will be moving for studies to Germany soon thanks to your inspiration Misha! Also first time being early haha
I love Alpine, something different than Porsche. Could be cheaper tho😉
You survived well my friend!;-)
quite a wicked lil car, yes more of this car
fun fact !
Alpine uses the same transmission found in ford fiesta powershift which infamously known for their lawsuit which is 6dct250, while the alpine is 7dct300
saw some video of this guy. He is fast
Sub7 with his M4 GT
Plot twist: the "nasty surprise" was the realisation the HANS device was not properly secured 🙃
But all is well that ends well and everything after that little track excursion was pretty chill 😁
Man, that was sketchy. But very fast on the dry(ish) parts. Btw., still thumbs pressed for that SSD recovery - hope it's going good!
Don’t know if you’ll see this but I think something like a insta360 would give a really cool perspective. Though I don’t know the rings rules, so they might not allow it.
Video should be titled; "This is what happends when u take the dry line in wet conditions"
After the first few corners.. when misha tightened his beltstraps.... I felt that..
Beautiful sounding engine! Enjoyed that lap.
Hey Misha, can you do a best-of-playlist where you show your favorite cars and laps as a collection?
You can almost feel how light and nimble the car is
i really like the raw intake sound. it reminds me alot of the 73 A110 in rally
GT4 is up to 360hp, that would really change a lot for such lightweight car.
Good video
almost 7 min in a 300hp car is crazy. Cars need to be lighter.
You live for another lap. Thanks for sharing these videos, great stumbles & subscribed 😊 ☕
That thing looks pretty wild to drive 😂👌
Everytime he uses the dry line it has skate on heels.....
All the dashboard's light are on, it's a true Renault for sure :D
To Misha: what was your impression of the car as a passenger? Last september I drove the standard version of this car with 252hp at Circuit Zandvoort during a race experience.I was impressed, because the car is nimble, very light and very easy to drive. I reached almost the same top speed as with the 325hp Porsche 911 Although overtaking isn't allowed during an experience I drove very smooth between the Hugenholtz and the Scheivlak corners.
Power meter says this one only use 251hp maximum ..
@@tonypetersson923 its 250hp Pure model but tuned to "OEM" 300hp as its only software thing.
thanks man your video are simply a therapy
I totally understand the driver pushing at this conditions being on Vid. Though I don't. That's been too much. You were at several times lucky not to impact somewhere.
Hi Misha, i don´t wanna be a smartass, but please take care that the seatbelt is OVER the HANS, not under, it is very dangerous when only one side of the HANS is fixed. And the Driver´s Helmet chin strap is open, so the Helmet can go off in case of an accident. Safety first🙂
My lovely car..i used all days my stock a110 /2019
I am guessing this comes stock with 250 hp..the onboard computer showed 250hp max at any time (calculated figure ofc, so any tuning wont be shown)..challenging conditions but car shows a lot of potential for the dry
there is a 280 and a 300 hp version
Wish we could even get an alpine in America..
You will, hang in there.
4 models
Yup and the yaris gr
In 2028 alpine will come to the US market with EV a110 + 3 EV SUV
Dry line on wet?
What do you think Misha?
Nice driving, really impressive but why do people take on such added risk driving their beautiful cars in the rain at the Ring? He nearly lost it a few times. It’s not like they are competing in some prestigious race or anything? Misha kept fidgeting with his shoulder harness, pulling them tighter. That should tell you something right there. Anyway, glad he didn’t stuff the little Alpine into the barrier like so many other folks at the Ring.
Seriously cool car
This car is like a cheaper version of a Jaguar F-type, but it still looks like tons of fun to drive.
I thought the GT4 came with a 6-speed sequential gearbox.
9:30 shows cruising in 7th gear 🤔
F type? ;)
In what way does this compare to a F-type which weighs half a ton more
Uh.. What? They're totally different cars
The Alpine shits on the f type as a sports car is mid engine and half a tone less weight the f type is more of a luxury gt than a sports car
My go to car in Assetto Corsa, great footage!
this is eaisly my fav car
4:49 owner passed out? Taking a nap? checking his 'gram?
Prayin 4 life xD
In the passenger seat? Is me
@@mgcharoudin HA! Sorry I didn't reconize you!
I reallly hope there will be a dry lap too :)
Hey Misha! Thank you for your video! What tires are you using at the beginning of april (season opening) i expect temperatures about 0-13 degrees maybe… I‘m on the michelin cup 2 right now and i‘m a bit afraid if it‘s too cold.. btw we are sleeping in apex :p see you then🤘🏼😊
Haha Misha falls asleep halfway again xD
I dont see anything wrong seem like a fun lap hehehe :3
You can tell it's a properly French car, because every warning light is illuminated but it's still being sent hard. 😅
Epic !
Misha, why didn't the driver use the rain line?
Classic Renault, every Service light is on😂
im surprised he hasn't put on his Hans correctly
Misha are you on your phone at 4:47? Lol
Track driving in the rain, NOPE!!
I would love to hear the technical specs of the car.
man... pucker factor 10 000 on this one 😬
Those things are death machines.
In my humble opinion he was putting you in danger by trying to prove something, im glad he mellowed down further in the lap. Reminds me of something you alway's point out to your viewers: you cant impress someone at the ring but you can make everybody laugh. For the full lap he was driving the dry line.
Why wasn’t he making the wet line?
As well as the Megane 4 RS and the Clio 4 RS, the gearbox reaction time between the upshift press and the gearbox actually upshifting is not that great tbh :/
This is the way to get grey hair prematurely. It is good you survived.
What jacket is it you are wearing in the intro?
Bilstein
@@mgcharoudin Thanks, I might get one
Cool man! 👍😎👍
At a point I really thought you were like passing out man. But I think you were just playing with your phone
He didn't use Misha's wet line.
I must admit that I think the refreshrate of the speedometer is really low. Is there any way to increase that?
dont judge that using video footage
@@RicardoPestana well this time you can since the refresh rate is way slower than the video framerate.
Speed refresh rate is 1Hz, the thing is, it could be faster, but when you are driving a fast pace you need to be able to read it at a glance, faster refresh rate at some point forces you to watch longer at the speedometer, and not outside, since there is no speed bar graph i believe they had to compromise to keep readability to the best possible.
Why is the hp display always maxing out at only 251?
because is base Pure model that comes with that power
Misha sitting over there looking underdressed for the occasion
Impressive how it turns the car in curves like this: 04:52
Cold tyres…
At first I was gna say my guy needs some Misha wet line tuition lol
RIMAC ON NURBURGRINGGGGGG
Engine sounds a Cortina 😂
Alpine a110s?
Aber einen schönen Helm hat er!
What where you doing at 4:50 and so one? Looking down? Telephone? It did distract the driver abit
Really smooth ride, nothing much to care about xD
We know all the bulbs still work at least. 😂
Ik heb ze ook als rallyauto gezien, dat wilde deze ook zijn!😉
Nice HANS use lol🙈
problem is the harnas is not made for hans i think
@@timverelst1471 yes
@@mgcharoudin i really like your content and i hope i can visite nurburgring and rent a car at apex when i begin working (still in uni now). i would love to drive the m4 coupe looks like really fun car.
The French Stig!
He was trying to impress you. But bite grass instead. And then was start driving right.
Shall I mention it? 😝
for sure a very fast driver👨🚀 and car🚘 especially in dry conditions. but the lack of knowledge concerning the rain line could have end very bad. greenkeeping was the best that could have happenened that early. otherwise Flugplatz or Schwedenkreuz would have been the end of the lap💥
or in other words:
he was just pushing too hard. certainly he can drive in the wet regarding car control. but Nordschleife is very special💁♂️
I like your videos but I thought this one was a lack of consideration for the driver. you just answered "ya""ya" "ya".... at least you talked a little about what you thought etc
That car needs a drylap or more downforce.
So what was it, shitty lap because of the rain? At least driver kept it in one piece!
Nice Renault
Engine faillure, service on 🤣 RENAULT
Merde!
I dont get why the driver keeps hacking at the wheel, its surely gonna be faster if he drives smoother, he is like jabbing at the wheel unsettling the car. He needs to learn to calm down and drive smoother, he will improve his times.
Have you ever driven an Alpine like this & in the rain ?
He knows what he’s doing he’s a professional
Also it can be a good against understeering
It's a way to drive over the car's limits. If you do it wrong it can bite back. So it's for very experienced drivers. Also it's very tiring.
Feeling for the grip and adjust speed to suit, only real way to attack a first lap in dry to damp conditions when track surface doesn't visually tell you what's going on
I suspect it's on a pretty hardcore track tyre and they've got very little temp. Probably like driving on ice initially
When you think you're the Stig, and you ain't. In other circles, all the gear and no idea.
I think you’re the one with no idea!!
@@pandc1000 👍 👌
You're definitely delusional, he is clearly a good driver, just looks like he needed to pace himself a bit.
