RIP Mr. Wilson. It has been an enlightening experience listening to your life experiences and knowledge. God bless you and your family. I wish to thank everyone evolved with allowing this download possible. God is so good and real.
My Brother, Mr. August Wilson Left A Powerful "Timeless Generational Blueprint" and Rich Legacy!!! Not only was he an Excellent Writer, he was and still is A Timeless Movement!!!!😇😊❤
August Wilson is on my list, What the hell has African American Arts been doing for the past few decades when you have the of the likes of when the world have to endure the nonsense of these 'gangsta' rappers. Now I understand what has happened to the African American community. This is when buying black actually means something.
Don't have to go to Broadway. Wilson's plays are performed in church basements now. I was introduced to Wilson by my local theatre company in Baltimore in the 80s. I performed in my first Wilson play two years later in my high school. Wilson belongs to us. The cultural moment might be elitist, but the cultural phenomenon that was and is August Wilson is and always has been about us, by us, for us, and near us. Ase.
Trust me you are not missing anything special. In London, there are a lot of pub and community theatres, that does excellent stuff and the big theatres do discount and special offers. so it need not be expensive. It depends on what intrigue.
There are cheaper tickets at regional theatres. I work at one. I think the idea that theatre is not an option for working class people is something that needs to be actively dismantled. I truly believe that if we can survive this plague that real change lies ahead in the theatre community.

The average ticket price for Broadway shows are too pricey for the average Black family.

@@kenyattarogers5055 I would see an August Wilson play at a Regional theatre but not a church basement production.
