If you happen to have another completed FR/LG, you can get the White Flute on an incomplete save file if you do this little relay: Ruby -> trade over Pokemon holding White Flute to the completed FR/LG -> trade from the completed FR/LG to the incomplete FR/LG Definitely helped me with my Safari Week hunts! Also, when you said 6 minute tangent incoming, you can BET that I got excited and did not skip. So interesting how Intimidate messed with the count like that.
Just bought an extra Japanese FireRed and Italian LeafGreen for safari week, so I’ll rush through those games and get some white flutes for all the games! Glad you enjoyed the tangent! Those are some of my favorite parts of your vids!
WHY HAVE I BEEN HUNTING EKANS ON ROUTE 8? I've phased 5 times without realizing it has a 40% encounter rate on Route 11 😂 I'm so glad I watched this video! I know I'm late but congratulations on such a fantastic shiny!
Watching your first two videos were entertaining, started watching cause last year. I went for a Bulbasaur, and Jolteon in my copy of Leaf Green. I should still be on those hunts, but I got lucky with 281 total encounters for both. 115 for Bulbasaur, and 166 for Eevee. My shiny luck has been quite dry since then.

I finally got the shiny Eevee after 13k srs. I was doing srs while my mom was going to pick up our pizzas out of town (November) and I was ecstatic to finally have it and it became my Espeon while the other turned into Umbreon
Maybe the program can look for an image to set a bool to true. Whenever the bool is true, it counts up by one. Then you look for another image to set it to false, and it won't repeat? I probably don't know what I'm talking about to be honest but it's an idea
Funnily enough, I ended up doing something kind of similar in my Staryu hunt (15% Gyarados with Intimidate encounter rate). I set up an extra “hunt” that looks for text saying that Gyarados lowers my attack and count each one. Then I can just subtract that number from my total to get the exact number!

once you start with the auto counter, it's hard to go back to any other way 😅
