@@feslenraster yes! When he uses Japanese words that don't translate well and sanichi tried to relate it back for English viewers is the best it really shows how much he is enjoying the meal lol I forget the word he always used starts with an s when it's really good lol
I love when you guys do videos together because you feed off of each other's energy and it always seems to be good and you always seem to have a good time together
At this point honestly you guys are like my fun internet uncles who always show me where to get the best goodies in Japan 😂😂 always appreciate what you guys do!! Thank you for all the recommendations
yes, his voice is quite similar but thats also due to the japanese-english-accent. i forgot his name but there is (one of many vids from his channel) a video on youtube with the title "speaking japanese without saying a word" and that guy is indeed the voiceover of Cooking with dog :)
Thank you for showing the sights and stores of japan. Ai and you and satoshi show the different foods to try and it's great to have your description and opinion the three of you have. Ai has such a jovial personality. The three of you work great together. I like this video too! You guys a great day!!
We really want to go to Japan on holiday, and your videos are helping us with all the different types of food to try and places to visit. Love your videos.
My stomach is rumbling 😂😂 I think everything looked great even I'm more a savoury person, but I would happily try all of them. The Sukiyaki Bun looked awesome as well as the heart shaped pastry with the spaghetti sauce inside.
I love listening to Satoshi speak; just lovely! Fun videos together ❤! How difficult is it to find foods that are "Dairy - Free" in Japan; could you find enough food to make a video?
Good episode,i went to a Japanese moviefestival this week, tried Japanese streetfood like taiyaki azuki(fishshaped), Hojicha and Matcha tea. Also Matcha cake roll with yuzu-cream and sake. Everything was yummy!!!
Watching this video late at night before bed was not a good idea haha. Always love your collaborations with Ai. Will need to visit japan again just to try the nama purin & sukiyaki man. I guess it would be helpful if you could quickly mention how to get there from Tokyo next time, so us tourists can easily follow and visit as well :)
Another fun video! I enjoy these food tours that you do. Everything looks so good. The Pacific Drive-In looks so American. There are places that look similar to this around the coastal areas. Thank you for sharing.
Everything looked so delicious and I was intrigued with that fresh shirasu fishcake! It’s great watching all three of you enjoy the different street foods! I’m afraid when I finally get to Japan I will gain weight with all that yumminess! But it will be worth it.
Yet another collab video we all have been waiting for! I said it before and I will say it again: the energy and synergy between you 3 is so highly entertaining, but yet so natural at the same time that you three wonderful people were just meant to find each other and make these videos. Thank you so much for this one and I hope you'll continue this collab for a long long time!
10:00 i think the word atleast is based in german/germany. baum=tree in german and kuche=cake. it may have the name due to appearence akin to a log disc
Baumkuchen is a sort of spit cake from Germany. The cake has rings that resemble tree rings when you cut it, so that's why it's called Baumkuchen (tree cake).
Right, its German and means Tree Cake as the original Baumkuchen is a cake which is baked in layers. It then looks a bit like a tree log. Here's a photo: www.deutschlandfunk.de/salzwedeler-baumkuchen-traditionsgebaeck-vom-spiess.1242.de.html?dram:article_id=306180 Its not as soft as a sponge cake.
I've probably messed up the algorithm on my own. I had to keep stopping and coming back to the video cause I tried to watch before I got home. Sorry! But I love the video. I love Baum cakes. An international grocery store here has imported the matcha flavor cakes but not anything like that. I'm going to put that place on my wish list to visit. Yum!
Kamakura, I LOVE Kamakura so much. Such a lovely, small city-town. Just the right size, beautiful scenery, and close by to Tokyo. And unlike Tokyo, its so much more chill and calmer. I LOVE Tokyo, its one of my favorite cities in the world but I would easily live in Kamakura over Tokyo. And there's GREAT food!
Love the side streets in Japan - unfortunately, we don't read or speak Japanese, so when we go by a restaurant or shop, we don't know what kind it is so don't stop. Maybe we need to just be more adventurous and go in and enjoy what they offer. Love watching your wonderings and the places you find. Great fun!
Please make a halal japanese street food tour based on your recommendations guys ❤️❤️❤️ always love how you guys explain what you ate and shoot the detail (inside) of the food 💞
I cannot wait to go to some of these places you show us in your videos. Will be visiting next year. Thank you for all your hard work. Just love you both. Continue on.
I enjoy watching your videos so much. I wish I could travel to Japan. Wish I knew where to find places that make all of this delicious food in Iowa, USA. There are so many recipes from you guys and Ai that I want to try.
I watched the Shibamata videos a couple days ago. I've been planning a trip to Tokyo, and I was planning on spending a couple days in Kamakura/Enoshima and was wondering if you'd done a Kamakura street food episode yet - and lo and behold this video pops up among the suggestions. The main food I want to try is shirasu, especially nama-shirasu. Now there are a few more things to try in Kamakura. The baum cake, I think, comes from the German word for tree - it looks like a slice of tree trunk, with concentric growth rings. There's a Japanese bakery here (Kuala Lumpur) that sells it but I haven't tried it yet. Maybe I will, this coming weekend.
Hey gus, I love your videos! I was wondering after spending all the day before watching your videos if you could make a video or several of them for all the alternative diets, lik gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian or vegan :) It would be really interesting as I see that there is a lot of those everywhere in each videos :) Love your videos, Can't waitfor my first trip in Japan :) !!!
I love kamakura. That gelato sandwich I have to have it!!! I would go for a combi of the ajisai and ramune. Maybe matcha and ajisai will go well together as well :) Do they have these sandwiches all year round? If they have I think I'm going to get one in the autumn. And the nikuman!!! that looks amazing. Please continue this colaboration :) You guys works so well together. It's very fun to watch.
@@TabiEats Then I'm gonna try it out. I already look up where it is on google maps :) I've been to this street many times but there is so much to choose from you kinda get lost in the choices
Baumkuchen is actually a German cake where the liquid dough is poured over a heated core in a long log shape and each layer is fully baked before the next layer is poured over it. That's why it's called Baumkuchen "tree cake" because the cross-section resembles the annual age rings of a tree log. It's more of a Christmas tradition you would find at Christmas markets and the cake pieces are covered in chocolate.
I absolutely love how satoshis personality is just blossoming. He is hilarious and witty and quite a ham when he wants to be.
yeah! I love his poetic descriptions of snacks, foods and making them sound soooooooo delicious

Oops. I watched Ai-san's video first. I'm really liking these video collaborations!
We walked from Kamakura shrine to the Bamboo garden ...... it was such a pleasant journey walking through the peaceful neighbourhoods

Greetings from Germany.
I do not remember Baumkuchen being like spongecake
but what you had still looked tasty
Great video. All three of you had fun and enjoyed the food. I hope I can visit Kamakura once. It is a nice town.

Collaboration with ai is good, meat pie steak and cheese pie is my favourite. Nice food in the video.
I visited Kamakura last year and had a blast eating the local street food. Going back to Japan in Nov and am thinking of going there again.
