Great location. Very cool design. Love the minimalism. Not keen on having a big bed in the middle of the room. After all, you only spend at best 6-8 hours sleeping. So many more options available now where a proper living room could've been created and then have a bed fold down when you need it and put away when you don't.
This could be awesome if it was a town of a 100 small houses like that, near big trees, lots of natural stone pools and waterfalls etc. Kind of Tarzan's town. Lots of happy people, lots of happy children running everywhere and playing.
Amazing form and building itself. But I will never understand the plywood being on every single surface of the interior trend. Finish your interiors architects!!!!!
I couldn't get a sense of the home - you showed the bedroom and kitchen but I would have liked to see the rest of the house in relation to the windows.
I hope this architect knows that it is almost impossible to seal OSB plywood and near the ocean it will absorb moisture and develop mold. OSB is notorious for that.
For some reason I just can’t fully embrace OSB as a finishing material. I get the theory. If it was a stone it would probably even be super interesting if it had the exact same patterns. It just always looks terrible to me and I can’t tell why.
the stuff he used for the interior is very, well, very toxic the glue with which the chips are glued contains formaldehydes, and the softener, at the processing stage, so that the chips are softer and the adhesion is better - chlorine, and phenol (or phenolphthalein). When researching this material, it was noticed that the degree of drying or moisture gain is 96 kg out of 1000, it took more than 1000 kg to process this room, I think, imagine the load on the lungs and liver!
These are not the only products on the market, indeed. There are osb panels made with polyurethane glues that do not release formaldehyde; in fact, they are used specifically for interiors. The use of OSB panels is highly sustainable for several reasons: - OSB materials are manufactured with wood strands and flakes that come mainly from fast-growing trees. By using fast-growing trees as the primary wood source, less land needs to be allotted for trees to be used to create OSB manufacturing materials. - OSB is made from compressed wood strands and flakes. That translates to OSB manufacturers being able to use more of the tree wood that comes out of local forests. According to lumber industry experts, the manufacturing process for OSB is able to make use of up to 80% of an entire tree. That means loggers are able to leave fewer byproducts sitting unused in the forests. - Finally, we can go back to the durability factor. When materials need less replacement, that lowers the stress on the environment because fewer materials are needed by manufacturers and end-users.
@@MatteoManzi you are mistaken, this material is in no way connected with an environmentally friendly product, it is as environmentally friendly as uranium or mercury, because they are also found in nature, which does not make them environmentally friendly for humans!
Almost always the use of sustainable materials goes toward a more biophilic and less "luxurious" style. In any case, it is a private space that has to be adapted to a specific person's sensibilities and tastes, so the goal is not for everyone to like it.
@@MatteoManzi what about like or dislike? we are talking about that that pleasant aroma of wood inside is the evaporation of poison! did you read my comment?
You don't understand. Building sand castles at the beach.. they never last, the tide always destroys them. And. People who don't have only want more... people who have only want less. You'll figure it out.
Five years from now OSB will be chipped at mitered corners. Understand the idea of using this type of material but here it is overdone and don’t think it will age well. Sorry to say but not up to the usual Local Project standards.

I love everything about this… except the OSB walls, which i hate with the burning passion of a thousand suns.
😂
Same ❤
Agree
the off gassing of that material is detrimental to health. Awful
Dude you need to pull back just a little ... 🤓
I absolutely would stay forever! Well done!
I don’t blame the renters for staying so long! Love that you can open up the space to the fresh sea breeze. Beautiful color grading as well
I almost cried.
When architecture, design and landscape come into communion, very intense energies are created.
so beautiful and simple life..
Remarkably peaceful piece of architecture. Thank you.
this channel is pure inspiration 🫠
The video editing and production quality is too good!!

This is an 'love' studio - the bed is very much central to the intended goings-on of this place.
This makes me smile.
Smart design tiny home! Beautiful, simple yet very captivating! Stunning! Love the simple home. Thanks Local Project
Love it so much as much as Matt Williams Architects logo, so so dope 🤩👌🏽
Beautiful place, Location and Concept
Nice work!
Beautiful project 😍😍😍😍.
Dream house. Perfect getaway.
It is all about the place and beautiful nature around it. You can put a tent there with an equal effect.
Cover the chip board with grass cloth and paint it at soft sand colour .
Amazing!!!
It’s beautiful and peaceful but Damn l know getting splinters there is on a all time high 😂

Spectacular..
LoVe the house... however it's time to recognise the very creative film work, editing and production.
Relax 👍
Yeah, I could live there alright.
Who is the composer and music? Audio should be credited.

Its not plywood. Its Oriented Strand Board. Plywood would be much nicer.
I couldn't get a sense of the home - you showed the bedroom and kitchen but I would have liked to see the rest of the house in relation to the windows.
Finally giving OSB it's due. Looking for OSB forms for concrete to be used for the beautiful textural possibilities.
Belgh...it's absolutely ugly IMHO
😂😂😂😂😂 .... - the third piglet !

Nice, but quite minimalist compared to what I have viewed on Local Project.
I'm not sure about the wood walls....
How much is it?

Hello Freycinet
Why not have a boat instead?

you need to be very very healthy in order not to die or significantly undermine health for several years
in general, this material is intended for outdoor structures, with mandatory external processing (rubber, paint, etc.)
I hope the owner of the house sees my comment, and this will save his health or life

Beautiful, but the particle board spoils it imo. Looks unnatural and cheap of you don't paint/seal it, it will leach toxic chemicals over time!
The interior looks like a cheap wooden workshop or storehouse.
look my comment

1"08... not another untreated, uncovered OSB board house. Looks like temporary walls on construction site. Ugly as hell.
This is the first TLP video that I don't appreciate that much. Your team worked very hard but the cabin is just not so great.
His pants is too tight.
Inside is kind of hideous, to be honest
I know you're trying for "art" but for a video about architecture, you sure didn't show much of the interior of the house. Disappointed.
Fail.
Unless sealed osb used to have a lot of off gassing of dangerous chemicals like formaldehyde
a metal roof in nature ! where you habe to cut of each aluminium board ! lengthwise ! !!!! how st ,,, is that ?
beside that ! really bad ! golden cut ! the arch has not clou about proportions ! waste of time ,,,
