  • The Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines a traitor as "one who betrays another's trust or is false to an obligation or duty." On this Palm Sunday, I've chosen to consider in contrast the two traitors seen side by side in the New Testament accounts of the Passion of Christ. Though we may see some similarities in Judas and Peter, they are separated by one giant factor-the cross of Jesus Christ, the one thing that still offends most people.
This teaching is from our series Jesus Loves People with Skip Heitzig from Calvary Albuquerque.

thank you for your sermon to the point. but you mentioned Jesus made Peter a leader, but the Bible never says anything about Peter been pointed to be leader over all disciples, because, to handover any leadership as in Bible or in world there will be announcement or statement to every one to hear and to be aware of it.
take Moses, he announced/ declare that Joshua will be the leader of Israelite s...
take Pharaoh he made declared Joseph will be a leader...
Yah. He declared David will be the King
so on... to come to Paul, Paul had far more higher places in Bible than Peter, remember, Paul rebuked Peter for his wrong doing at Antiok, Galatians 2:11-14
Paul gives an account not in private but of how he publicly rebuked Peter, an apostle from Jerusalem and one of Jesus' closest companions.
please pastor, please teach me or show me where in Bible Jesus made Peter a leader.
please don't tell me when Jesus said in Matt. 16:18 18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church;)) when Jesus said on this rock, He was talking about Himself, despite Peter does not mean a rock, rather is a small pebble instead, i think you have well understanding the difference between a rock and a pebble.
am waiting to my answer please.

Why does this sermon sound SO MUCH like John MacArthurs including calling a dog Judas. Weird.
