      they are wonderful engineering masterpieces. I like comparing it to a racing V8 reving to 7 grand. power to weight its similar to 1500hp Hellcat

    Tyvm for the video. I’m getting older and a couple of years ago i switched from the Kawa GTR to a Triumph Tiger soly for the weight. And i have to keep that very hard in mind every time i see this bike. It’s the beauty and the beast all in one. Enjoy it!

    Great 1 year review. I just hit 1 year on my 2023 Chrome Rocket 3R. We ride very similarly. My background is 35 years of sport bikes and 10 years of racing. I absolutely love the Rocket 3R. You are correct on the handling. The tire choice that Triumph made is key to making this work IMHO. I was at the initial launch of the first Rocket 3 in Barcelona many years ago. I never thought it was a bike for me. But this thing is a missile. If you really are an expert rider, you can keep up with sport bikes no problem. Sure, you have to plan your corners. I found an unexpected benefit from riding this beauty. In 35 years, no Harley rider has ever waved at me. On this bike everyone waves (except ADV riders, but I have a Multistrada for that). Also thanks for the tip on the rear brake recall, which could affect the linked braking. That aspect was not disclosed in the recall notice. I took a note to always carry a spare key fob battery. It's still unclear how to start it if the fob dies.

      @dapperstuff  3 месяца назад +2

      great feedback, it much appreciated. we have similar riding backgrounds. you place the non-fob spare where the left pannier front mount would be. the sensor sits there a-bouts. best wishes

    And all done within the speed limit of course. This is how I like to see a bike ridden- well done sir. I have an older R3 and just love it and it takes a brave man to pin it. Is this UK or Australia. so weird to see people driving/riding on the left.

    I have the 2020 GT version color grey black and red i kept the foward pegs position fits me better , i added a quickshifter on it for quick acceleration from a stop position and its make alot of difference its way quicker i surprise alot of motorcycles who want to race me at a red light ,
    i wanted to add this year a rear bag on the passager seat to have support for my back where i can lean on it for long distance ride, for the rear brake my dealer bleedm it and now the brake are find but someone said in the Triumph forum is changing the oil brake for high performance racing oil will stop the oil from boiling its the cause for the rear brake problem so im gonnas ask for that racing oil brake in my next tuneup ,
    so far i love the bike its awesome i get so much attention from other riders or peoples in general asking question about the Rocket i made alot of friends with this motorcycle never a bikes that i owned get so much attention its a keeper for sure. RIDE safe mate and hello from Montréal Québec.

    Dapper, if riding in the rain, have you ever found water splashing on your back? Well, for me it's either the Rocket 3R or the bmw M1000R 😆...I'm shocked that triumph didn't put an electronically adjustable full suspension on this bike....

    • @dapperstuff
      @dapperstuff  18 дней назад +1

      Hi there, thank you for the watching and your questions. Riding solo in the rain I did not find splashing on my back. Fully electronic suspension on this bike, at least for me is an overkill much more suited to a sport bike. That said I would have loved ohlins on this baby. Good luck with your bike choice, you'll be happy with either. best wishes

    Nice video I am thinking about buying one, I sold my Honda Valkyrie andwant to replace with something like the rocket, my question is: How confortable the bike is for the passenger? Thanks

    • @dapperstuff
      @dapperstuff  3 месяца назад +2

      they are very comfortable, especially with the sissy bar on the GT.think it would be terrifying on a R. not goldwing comfort, but close. best wishes Jacques
      PS: Triumph is about to release the rocket storm…

    Am a Triumph Thunderbird rider and thinking of getting a Rocket like this but wondering if I can handle the weight. I’m a rather fit 62 year old biker. Been riding all sorts of bikes since teenage years. Now that I retired I want to give myself a present. Will this be too much for me to handle?

    Just bought a rocket 3, 2 weeks ago. waiting on winter to piss off. but i noticed we have quite similar riding styles. how much can i expect to get out of a full tank? also since i have not found a video confirming this please tell me the foot pegs scrapes before anything else. Have ridden a Kawasaki Meanstreak 1500 for the last 3 years. and well the Exhaust of all things scraped first. was about to lay her down when it happend the first time since i noticed it scraping and it was not the fotpeg, so i paniced a bit. managed to save it tho :D

    • @dapperstuff
      @dapperstuff  4 месяца назад +1

      only your pegs will scrape. i get around 15km/l generally. congrats on the bike you will thoroughly enjoy it. best wishes

    Great to see you ride it like you stole it but I keep hearing you hit the rev limiter!
    Did you know that raising the rev limit from 6,400 rpm to 7,500 rpm with an ECU flash will unleash the beast and take the 165 HP to about 200 HP?
    Acceleration, from 60 mph to 130 mph, drops, from 10.05 secs to 7.65 secs.

      Hi Philip, thank you for the feedback and information. I’ve unlock my ecu and increased the rpm to 7100 as you don’t get anymore power after that, just shy of 180hp measured at altitude(4400ft). The engine spins up ridiculously quickly so it’s easy hitting the limiter in the first couple of gears. I’ve not measured acceleration yet, that said I know it’s very, very fast.
