I was at the game. I believe it was a Monday Night Game. There were like 200 drug arrests and a fan fight almost every minute of the 2nd half somewhere in the stadium. A newspaper article predicted the Dolphins would lose and in the last minute of the game when it was obvious the Dolphins were going to win, a fan ran out on the goal line, lit the article on fire and threw it towards the stands. Several Miami PD officers jumped on him in the west end zone and beat him like he owed them money. It was the absolute craziest game I ever went to. The old Orange Bowl made Joe Robbie Stadium seem like a mortuary. I remember back then wondering what their father did to them to make the Blackwood brothers such psychos. They were like real life Hanson brothers in a time when receivers weren't protected by a lot of rules. BTW, I remember when the fans figured out they were making it impossible for Jaworski to communicate with the offense. It kept getting louder and louder because more and more people were screaming their brains out. I tried to tell my 7th grade homeroom teacher I was late because I wasn't feeling well when I woke up. She knew from my hoarse voice that I was at the game the night before.
Should have refurbished the Orange Bowl. You can't replicate the design and the noise level that the Orange Bowl had. It was definitely a home field advantage. The passion with the fans back then is so much different than it is today. I see people at football games looking at their I Phones. You might as well stay home.
Well, the refurbished Joe Robbie Stadium with the canopies that extend over the upper decks has created a dome-type atmosphere. I've been going to games at JRS for 30 years, always unimpressed with the noise. But at the Miami-Notre Dame game in November 2017, it was OB-loud, for sure.

Yeah , alot of these fans in philly are passionate , but lack class ...2 years ago a father brought his young son to a game , the guy wore the oppossing teams jersey ...these punks threw beer on the poor guy and his young son was there ...lowlife punks ...if they were alone they would have not done that ....shameful ...disgrace ...as. For the dolphins harry , i have really good faith about this team !!! ...they have so many draft picks the next 2 years ...5 # 1's ...2020 &2021 ...we are well below the cap to entice premiere free agents here !!!! I really like some young core players ...baker ...mcmillian ...gicsiki ...dieter ...wilkins ...van ginkle ...needam really improved !! ...he can be a factor ... And wiltz also inproved ...preston williams will be back ...x-howard ....rashard jones as well ( but i think he is done for the dolphins) ....i would live to see them get stronger on both lines with some early picks ( 2 d.e. ...a guard and a tackle ...maybe they can get a proven running back in free agency (ballage is embarrasing ) ...i have hope for a quick turnaround the next coulple seasons !!!! ...oh , charles harris is unproductive waste of roster space ...another bust of a no1. Pick ....
Harry Diaz ...oh , thanks for the link harry , i am gonna go on it !! ...
Never did like Jaworski, served him right.
The Miami Hurricanes had some magic in that stadium as well....
They certainly did.
@@OMikeyboy I believe that they had 58 consecutive victories... That place was an icon and should have never been torn down...
it's funny that jaworski gets intimidated by that crowd when you consider what eagle fans are like
I think I was at this game
Hey jack.........ya think 🤔 .....chuckle chuckle
Golden days.....!
I miss the OB
I wonder which stadium was louder: The Orange Bowl or Mile High?
I've been to both and I would say the Orange Bowl, especially during the night games.
A few years before the killer b's faded ...it was sad seeing doug betters just jumping up and down with his hands up standing still. , bob baumhauer playing with two bad knees ....and seeing the secondary constantly getting beat deep by stanley morgan ...andre reed ...james lofton ...wesley walker ...al toon ...ahhh !!!
Eagles lost four in a row and this was one of them.
Delay of game by the Eagles
...and the invention of the time clock.
Now teams encourage their fans to do it. Too bad you can't hear, use hand signals.
After all that BS Jaws throws a pick lol.
I remember watching this game. I was a Dolphin fan first, but then liked the Eagles 2nd. I thought Jaworski was a douche in this game.
Why, what did Jaworski do wrong?
@@67marlins81 crying over the crowd noise.
@@mikewazowski350 I didn't see any crying. If an athlete thinks there's an unfair advantage ( there clearly was ), he's well within the rules to have the game played under protest.
Calling him names from 6th grade really doesn't make a difference to actual professionals, sorry to break it to you.
@@67marlins81 I remember an interview with him years later saying he was trying to get a penalty. He was being a douche. Just play football, not futbol.
@@mikewazowski350 He may actually not have known whether it could be penalized....? Even though I'm a Dolphins fan, at those levels it probably should have been penalized somehow - fair is fair. It could have been worked out for an off-season vote eventually.
Hard to believe there was ever a anti crowd noise rule.
There actually wasn't. If there had been the Fins would have been penalized.
How about Don Shula’s pants! Lol
Miami Dolphins#1!!!
Can't believe how bad the Dolphins have been since Marino retired. Sad.
Dude, the refs should of threw a flag on Jaworski for all the delays.
As proficient as the offense was ...it was hard watching judson and lankford getting beat like drums on deep patterns ...why did they stick with lankford for so long ?? ...he was clearly out of his league , so inept ...
I never realized a QB could stop the game if the fans were too old... Thank gawd they did away with that rule... Jaworski once a stiff always a stiff
Penalize the dolphins cuz the crowd noise.
The irreplaceable Howard Cossell. Yeah, they brought in another guy but what a step down that was. Even drunk, Howard was better than Fran Tarkenton or the guys today. Madden was awesome but other than that, ... no bueno.
I guess the int was the fans fault too.. ridiculous
🎧
Jaworski was a little wuss..
Make Dolphins Great Again, please
Hundreds of pounds of cocaine consumed , hundreds of thousands of dollars wasted in one night in Miami.
F U Frank -"slows down the game"
🐬 snatched by🔫🔪💰✈🚹
Crazy to realize that there were once white men in the NFL.
Boo Hoo that can't hear.
Speaking as a Dolphins fan, at some point they SHOULD have been able to penalize Miami for their crowd. When the officials ask for quiet, it should be honored.
The should be penalized
Ron j was such a wuss
Because Philly is SO tough. Yeah...riiight.
Eaglesssssssssssssssss
Dolfan Denny says: BEST stadium EVER to play football in‼️(If you're the home team‼️)🇺🇲🏈🐬🙌🍊🎳
