In the States, it would be with some very formal host, some totally not funny insult comedians and only very obvious answers as the producers would like everyone to quiz along.
I arrived in London on a Friday. I didn't want to go out that first night so was excited to be able to watch QI, a new episode, fresh on British TV. It was a rerun.☹️
If (if!?) there is a final season of Q.I., then the last episode should be called 'Zenith'. And I do hope they do an 'In Memoriam' episode, to commemorate all the talented people who were guests on the show but are no longer with us: Sean Lock, John Sessions, and especially Carrie Fisher (amongst others)!
I'm not sure if there is more of the interview, but did anyone else notice that all of the questions were directed at Alan? I love him, and he handled it well, but when Sandy was talking, it was 'yes, ok, Alan, tell us'? It wasn't like Sandy was dominating conversation , so they needed to get Alan in, i thought that was a bit rude.
I'm sure it's online somewhere, but the series isn't even over yet, still have around 10 episodes left to air. It will come very soon if it hasn't already. I'm in Canada so I'm in the same boat, but I've not attempted to look for episodes yet.
I think Sandi is fantastic! She's incredibly smart, very witty, has a great laugh and a keen sense of humor. I adored her short stint on the Great British Baking Show with Noel, but I kind of figured she was destined for bigger things.
But AA is the old way of writing the letter now known as Å. It still appears occasionally in names that never were adjusted to the new spelling, or if we're forced to use the 26 letters of the English alphabet (like when ordering airline tickets abroad).
It would make sense, as we know from QI, facts have a half-life, and so many new things have been discovered so it isn't like they will run out of material. The more you learn, the more learning there is to do.
''Nice work if you can get it, and if you get it, won't you tell me how? '' paid to have playtime and with celebrities, that's not a job, that's a golden comedy career . We're Lucky Alan has been there the whole time, he really is the drive behind the show. LOL we do love Sandi though, she picked up the reins and hasn't looked back, can't, careening !!
Interesting that Sandy had the Danish letters ordered as Ø, Æ and Å, because that's not how they're ordered in the Danish alphabet. It'd be like pointing out that the last three letters of the English alphabet are Y, X and Z. It's not wrong, but it's not exactly right either. It's not even an order of letters that are in the Scandinavian languages. In the Danish and Norwegian alphabets, the last three letters are Æ, Ø and Å In the Finnish and Swedish alphabets, the last three letters are Å, Ä and Ö
@@tjfSIMShe's not 'fake' exactly but she rather overstate her ties to Denmark a bit sometimes. She seems to have a big emotional attachment to it but she didn't grow up there or anything like that.

Is there a Danish version of Qi? And of course it's a given that Stephen Fry has to be a guest on the final edition of the show; maybe with a handfull of Qi's favourite guests or alumni?
Not sure where you’re thinking off but even on 21 December they have about 7 hr of daylight. It’s about the same latitude as Glasgow in the UK and Quebec.

After Sandi does the three extra shows for the three extra letters of the Danish Alphabet we could have a short run with a Welsh guest presenter doing the extra Welsh letters.

Alan and Sandi have done a great work together. Sandi is just amazing. I do not enjoy stephen that much because sometimes you can tell that he was arrogant.Always love alan because he is a brilliant sidekick who knows what he should do to please the audiences. He is brilliant with his role.
I know sometimes people think alan has been “too much ”but you have to admit that sometimes some guests were not that interesting and for sake of the show alan has to be funny.
I strongly recommend that you find a good dictionary, and look up the word "arrogant"... Stephen Fry is in no way arrogant. He just knows more than you do. The mere fact that he is as intelligent as he is is clearly a threat to someone like you, and so you immediately put what you think is a negative label on him.

I like Sandi a lot she's definitely been a worthy successor to Stephen Fry, however the standard of guests/panellists have been dire for the past few series of QI. I rewatched the from series A recently and it was overall a funnier, more entertaining show up until the pandemic. Ever since then it's been mediocre at best.
Alan Davies ruined QI for me. He always has to get the camera on himself, no matter how loud and obnoxious he has to get in order to do it. Just cringe-worthy, and I finally gave up on what was otherwise a brilliant show. It's a shame because he can actually act when he wants to.
