I bought Advanced Funk Studies back in 1982 (still have it). I tried to learn Solo number 2. Worked really hard at it. Fun to hear it again being played by a true professional. Great inspiration. THANKS!

I took lessons from Dorothea Taylor aka The Godmother of Drumming. She gave me a copy of Advanced Funk Studies. I particularly liked his linear groove lessons which I use all the time and has become part of my signature style.
