This book was written from the Bride's perspective, expressing her deep desire and longing for an intimate relationship with the bridegroom.
Written by King Solomon, it is a beautiful picture of how the church continuously seeks a relationship with Christ.

Ephesians 5:25
Husbands, this means love your wives, just as Christ loved the church. He gave up his life for her to make her holy and clean, washed by the cleansing of God's word. He did this to present her to himself as a glorious church without a spot or wrinkle or any other blemish. Instead, she will be holy and without fault.
Revelation 19:7
Let us rejoice and exult and give him the glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and his Bride has made herself ready.
Revelation 21:2
And I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven like a bride beautifully dressed for her husband.
