I Had The Freedom Series But It’s Not For Me For Long Distance. I’m 6’1 245 and I’ve done two long distance rides on it. Wasn’t comfortable at all. I sent it back in exchange for the Python. Still waiting but they say that’s better for bigger taller guys

I rock the Venom on my 22 SGST and absolutely love it! And i don’t race! Been to Sturgis and back, AZ Bike week and back and all over NM and CO! I f ing love this seat! I’m 6’ and around 205 - 210 lbs. when I’ve went to Sturgis and AZ and anywhere else, I’ve been able to ride sun up to sun down! And no backrest for me. Don’t need it
I have been researching many seats. I have 15 SGS. Stock seat is very uncomfortable for my passenger. I'm ok with it but I'm mainly looking for a more comfortable ride for my passenger. I'm 6' 190, not a big guy but the Python seat looks comfortable for my passenger. I ride a chopped tour pac. Do you think the width of the riders seat is too wide. Are you comfortable on longer rides
@@drodman34 I couldn’t take that factory seat after 20 minutes so wouldn’t expect the passenger to be comfortable on a factory seat. I put the HD Sundowner on briefly and hated it too! Depends on your woman’s butt size on the Python. But for me, and my size, not a big guy either and don’t have much of an ass so the Venom is perfect for me. I probably would have been fine with the Freedom Seat too.
After the 50 miles on the Sundowner seat, I quickly learned of the Ciro ASR seat and ordered it and loved it a lot! But the passenger pillion was on back order and couldn’t guarantee I’d have it before Sturgis last year so the search was on and that’s when I discovered BadBoyz Cycle. After nearly 20k miles on that seat, I still love it! No signs of wear n tear whatsoever. Recently rode to and from Ohio Bike Week from NM nearly 3000 mile round trip and no plans to switch it out. The ladies I’ve had on it like the passenger pillion as well.
As far as the Python is concerned, it’s probably gonna push you forward a tad and or change your riding position slightly as well as your stance at the red lights. My advice would be to stick with the narrower seat. Especially for the long rides where I need that space to really stretch out, and your lady will just have to like the narrower pillion, which she probably will anyway. That Freedom Seat probably has a little more gel/padding than the Venom. And since everything is made to order, they can probably add a little gel/padding to whatever seat if you asked. But my opinion and experience says narrower is better as far as the rider is concerned.

I love my Freedom series for around town, it is 200 mile seat, but will be ordering the Python for crushing the miles. I'm a big guy 6'1" and 300 lbs.
A 200 mile seat? That will get you to about 9:45am. What do you sit on the rest of the day?
I have one of this companies seats on the way for my new 24 RG, Hope to get it mid week. I wanted the freedom series but he said that would be a long wait time, so he built a CVO style for me with back rest and passenger seat. It was expensive, at over $800.00, so really concerned about the purchase, but seems like a good company with good people to deal with, we will soon find out.
This seat looks exactly like what ive been looking for! I have a 21 SGS(also in snake venom) love the seating position of the stock seat, but need soming with a large passenger pillion. I currently have a road sofa that i just purchased, i hate how much it sits me up. How does the sear hieght of the python compare to the stock seat of the road glide/street glide. Im 5'8" 220lb but have a really short inseam around 28"-29" so finding a seat that is build for long distance but also allows me to reach the ground and has a nice passenger pillion has been a challenge to say the least.
I just got this seat and I'm 220 and that python seat is amazing for longer rides and the wife loves it it's just as good if not better than the mustang super touring deluxe seat I've had both only problem with the mustang seat is its higher and I'm short the python sits you back about 1in or so and about an 1in lower than stock love mine I also have the venom and it's an awesome seat for 200 miles or more but the wife didn't care for it as much hope this helps someone and badboyz cycles has the best customer service that I've dealt with in a long time george is an awesome guy
You mentioned the Mustang seat. How does the python compare to the Mustang in firmness? Thanks for your help
It's a little bit softer than the mustang seat it feels like the mustang seat after it breaks in is the best way I can describe it when I got the seat it was 2 days before sturgis and I put the seat on and sat hours in that seat and no complaints whatsoever and my wife absolutely loved me for it

I appreciate the review. I have a freedom series and love the looks and quality of it, but I just cant get the miles (in comfort) as I was hoping. Its pretty thin and narrow. So I've been eyeing the mustang super touring as an option for I seat I can throw on for those all day or multi day rides. Its hard to stomach having to buy another expensive seat, but I need something I can ride all day with less stops. I'll keep an eye on this version as it might be an option. One thing I liked about the freedom series was its modularity as a 3 piece seat. Allowed me to run a solo tour pack, but I think I'm going to have to run a two-up seat just so I can get the miles.
I see you say about an inch back and down from stock? Is that a stock SG/RG seat or stock ultra seat? I have a saddlemen right now, but it's just too damn high. My legs are too short. 😅
I got the Venom, thanks to you and your discount code! I love it, but I do agree after couple hours you get some pain and get uncomfortable because it’s too soft. But, I absolutely love it and wouldn’t get a different seat.

I thought I had been subscribed. Sorry bout that. I have the same bike as well. I have a great seat for those moments I am a passenger on my hubbies SGS. I Rocked the stock seat until last summer, then needed a solo seat for the tour pack repositioned forward (no passenger). I ended up with a CVO style seat and backrest. By the time I finally decide on the freedom, I'll be buying a new bike. I have 30K on Mamba, she is in hibernation at the moment, only weather I won't ride in is snow. So will Freedom seat hold up to 300+ mile days for 2 weeks straight?
The freedom seat is perfect for 300 a day plus a little more. More adjustment in the back rest and the seat is not to soft or to firm and it’s also a slimmer design so less fatigue in the thigh area!
I just hate that you can’t demo them…how can you determine what’s right for you without doing so?
