    1. You’re right it’s all about delaying it.
    2. You’re totally wrong in your perception this is useless. If we don’t delay it infrastructure in hospitals breaks down. 101 logistics / capacity planning.

    • @FezzaYT

      I agree but the socioeconomic impact will be much higher than the effects of the virus itself. Hundreds of thousands of people are going to lose their jobs in the coming weeks and millions of people will be affected financially and socially. There is no easy answer or solution

    • @Michael00000001

      @@FezzaYT couldn't agree more. I am a very optimistic person and convinced we get this virus under control pretty soon but the after math will be painful as hell and could be the trigger for something much more painful. Simple calculation: subtract 2 months revenue from an industry loaded with debt and a 1% or 2%or even 5% margin business.

    Delaying it saves lives. It is about: 1) curbing otherwise exponential growth; 2) allowing medical facilities, etc., to absorb the impact.

    Hi Justin you are right about bringing the worst out of people ATM. A kind of good story as to human behaviour My country area was severely effected by the Australian bush fires on new years eve 2019 and we were isolated with no or very little power, fuel, and communications for up to a month. for the most part our community of 1500 people out of season 10000 in season which it was behaved relatively respectful to each other. The food we did have was shared amongst the street There where long ques for fuel and food if you could get any, most of the fuel for the tourist in the area to leave if they could.go home, some roads where blocked so easier said than done but most managed and were patient with exodus and and the long slow drive out of the area. The communities as a whole came together in a time of crisis and we are closer bonded now for it. Not saying we would want to stare that beast down again but it sort of prepared us for this shut down. That is the good.
    The Bad is now the City areas are going stupid crazy over this virus buying everything they can, (whats with the toilet roll thing) people sending things to china like what the fuck, others sell stuff on Facebook or Ebay and others just horde it, all selfish fools.
    This has sadly tricked down to our area now but most of us here are prepare for 3 to 4 weeks of Isolation anyway, after that it is anybodies guess as to whats going to happen. That is enough from me People can be good to each other if they choose To all here stay health and safe. and we will see each other on the flip side of this. Tim

    Justin, is it true that the police are patrolling out there and intend giving fines (€150 I've been told) to people that are out without reason?
    The water situation for the people living in Spain and other countries where drinking the tap water can make you ill just be a worry (it has always made me I'll if I had ice etc in hotels, hence why we started renting private properties for our hols so that we are in control of where the water comes from).
    Our holiday out there in May is looking less likely by the day!
    Go steady mate, and updates welcomed 👍.

    • @FezzaYT
      @FezzaYT  4 года назад

      yes, the police are fining people for being out and about without a reason. I got stopped yesterday by the police but didn't get fined as I was returning home. Your holiday in May....I would say it's quite unlikely unfortunately. All hotels have closed today and I can't see them opening again any time soon.

    • @paulwright9656
      @paulwright9656 4 года назад

      As predicted then, as today has gone on we've come around to the fact we won't be getting out there even though we don't stay in hotels.
      It must already feel strange even this early in the season, so God knows how it'll feel once May and June etc come around.......not that you'll be allowed out to see how quiet it is!

    Thanks Fezza, an informative preview of where we are headed in Australia. We are weeks behind where Europe is in terms of the number of infections, but as of today are in a state of emergency so that traveller quarantine and social isolation (events >500 people are illegal) can be enforced. Like you, we can't buy anything to wipe bums, which is a serious issue for my 87 yo incontinent mother (I buy her supplies). On the other hand, we were advised to make sure we could survive at home for 2 weeks, so I can't blame people for 'stocking up' - some just went way way to far! We are all working at home which is a corporate requirement (not yet required by law). Enjoy the quiet roads - you can't infect anyone inside that M4. :)

    Great video, mate. I’m a Brit in Poland and lockdown is also coming next week. Fact is, this is just a sign of how fragile the world really is, and hopefully we can use this experience to re-evaluate how we treat the planet. But it will all pass. And while the hysteria spreads due to the proliferation of crappy news sources all over social media, China shows that quarantine does work. The immense economic ruin, however, is inevitable. Look forward to the next video, fella.

    Order in some upgrade parts for your cars from Amazon! That will give you some content and something to do while at home. I own an HVAC business, so I get to test my immune system fixing peoples furnaces and heat pumps.
    I totally agree with it being useless and only delaying the inevitable. This shutdown will cause a massive impact on the economy for the next few months, and when people start going back out in public it is going to hit again. So not only will you still have the deaths you would have had before, but you will also have extended the economic impact by several months. That's just my opinion, guess we will see how this all turns out. Well some of us will.

    As you know I'm in Australia. The shopping thing is also happening here. I can understand the "bulk" buying of products.
    But it's like people are buying for the next year with the amount that is going out of the shops door..
    We aren't in any sort of lockdown as of yet. It's just if you have any symptoms, you need to self isolate for 2 weeks..
    I wok as maintenance in a major hospital, and today was my 1st day back on shift for 2 weeks. I was quite amazed it was just like a normal day.

Cases will be for a bit going up, it is what we were expecting Justin, but we will still be able to cope with it at the hospitals. If we wouldn't have done this, the only thing we would have been seen likely are dead bodies piling up outside the hospitals or cemeteries.

    Justin, here in California where I live, stores are out of all kinds of necessities. Toilet Paper, Hand Soap, Canned Foods, Baby Wipes, Cleaning supplies etc. You are 100% correct that in a time where we all should be helping each other, the Selfishness of humanity really shows. It doesn't matter where you are, the stench of ME ME ME ME is everywhere. You see people walking out of stores with CASES of bottled water, while other families have none. Its a sad time. Not just because of this Virus that the Chinese Government should get their ASSES SUED over, but you see how humanity really is. Bottom line is, this Virus was preventable.
