    Justin, not enough electricity or grid to power all these new electric cars. Just moved states and electricity is 5 times more expensive where I live now, so it’s less expensive to run on petrol than electricity, plus the power company keeps asking to reduce power usage at peak times.

      Yeah, it's all a bit crazy. Just can't see how this is going to roll out quickly enough. There's barely an infrastructure for electric cars here at all at the moment

      In Australia, when solar panels first appeared, power companies were paying for our exported power at 3x the price of the supply charge. So solar companies basically could sort of mortgage the cost of the panels+labour based on life expectancy and anticipated return from exported power. Made it much cheaper for homeowners. The 3x was progressively stepped down over a few years to 2x, then 1:1. Therefore now it's not as attractive to buy solar panels.

    Tyres are dated. You can see the week and the year they were manufactured quite easily.

    Electricity used to be expensive in Spain, but other countries caught up big time. Nowadays leccy prices in the UK are around 45-50p/kWh. Spain is half than that.

    Thanks for the update. Always good to hear your point of view. I agree, crazy electric car business and supply issues.

    Always feel better with new tyres, when I buy a car tend to put new tyres on anyway. I’m a bit paranoid about such things

      I usually do too as usually they don't tend have good tyres. Anyway, fresh rubber on the car now so it will be fun so see how they perform 😁

    As the one part of your car that touches the road, it's worthwhile doing tyres. Speaking of which, I brought another car last week and purchased some Michelin tyres for it. Thought they'd be relatively cheap being 175 x 14 x 65s (yes, that is a 14 inch wheel!) and paid $220 per tyre. Crazy prices with everything at the moment.

      Wow. Makes tyres in Spain seem relatively cheap!

    The electric car dream is being unraveled, the idea was nice but putting into practice was never going to happen. I can see the 2035 deadline being pushed back again, electric cars are not fit for purpose and it is now being proven

    • @trut52
      @trut52 Год назад

      It was pushed back already, was on the news this week. An EU deal was made with Germany so they can still keep ICE engines as long as they run on synthetic fuel.

    Good update! Yes, your channel is Awesomely Average! Speaking of buying cars, what made you choose the Mk1 Focus RS over say the Mk2?

    • @FezzaYT
      @FezzaYT  Год назад +1

      Thanks mate. I've often asked myself the same question! I think what it is is that when the MK1 fist came out I truly desperately lusted after it. I wanted one really badly but just couldn't afford it. I think it's my brain now doing the things I previously couldn't...sort of making up for lost time.

    go on.. get an aston :) Added a 4.3 v8v to my garage 18 months ago. Love it. Its got a so much charactor. Its held "favorite toy" status since I bought it even over the 360. GR 86 would be a great pick too.. love the old one still but same weight more power cant be a bad thing.

      Lol! I don't need much encouragement when it comes to buying cars 😅...and I've always wanted an Aston . It's so very tempting 😂

    That’s probably why you had traction issues on the track. I changed my tyres recently (10yr old Pirelli to Michelin Pilot Sport) and they stick like glue. 🇦🇺

    Tío, one of the biggest reasons why I love such videos is the incredible scenery, my dream car, favourite country, so it kind of makes me immerse in the experience, great sounding car etc.... great work, gracias ✌
