Legend and folklore have it that this cave enshrines Lord Shiva and thirty three koti demigods. The cave is renowned for its limestone formations and is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The cave is believed to have connections to several mythological tales, making it a significant pilgrimage site and a fascinating destination for nature enthusiasts.
Haat Kalika Temple, Gangolihat:
Haat Kalika Temple is a revered Hindu shrine located in Gangolihat, in the Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand. Dedicated to Goddess Kali, this temple holds immense religious and cultural significance. The temple's architecture and serene surroundings make it a prominent attraction for pilgrims and tourists alike. The annual fair held at Haat Kalika Temple attracts a large number of devotees, adding vibrancy to the region's cultural tapestry.
Abbott Mount Lohaghat:
Situated at an elevation of around 1,981 m above sea level in Champawat district, Abbott Mount is a picturesque hamlet. It is said that a British businessman, John Harold Abbott, was so mesmerised by the serenity of this place that he decided to develop it as a European settlement. Later, the place was named after him. Abbott Mount also offers clear view of Himalayan peaks that lie on the eastern side of the Kumaon Hills - a panorama that makes for a stunning photo opportunity.
Koli Dhek Lake, Lohaghat:
Koli Dhek Lake, is a picturesque freshwater lake located in Lohaghat, Uttarakhand. Surrounded by lush greenery and hills, the lake offers a serene environment for nature lovers. Boating facilities are available, allowing visitors to enjoy the peaceful surroundings and observe the diverse birdlife in the area.
