Nice finds Eric o like the copper awl I find a lot of them in Wisconsin I love the old copper culture peaces I found around 80 copper peaces awls spears and outher tools some big knifes al found on centrel Wisconsin
Another awesome hunt for you Eric. Great relics, lots of copper. Love the broaches and the Trade tomahawk is great. Thanks for taking us along. Keep up the good work.
What an awesome property to detect. One thing I do when on an "OLD" spot; open the original hole, and just keep spiraling out with the pinpointer and shovel. The halo/iron bias will fool even the best machine. Go back there; slow it down even more; and needle that spot. Way to find it brother.
@@Eric_Detectorist thanks, learning the minelab extreme pro,so anything about what things should register under regular conditions would be a great help when your filming video but,I've learned from other diggers ,gotta dig just about everything, Nathan.
Subbed! Love fur trade stuff. I found a few period relics when I lived along the Mississippi in Iowa. The late 16/early 17 French button you dug is killer. I have a site down here along the gulf coast where I have dug a handful of those. Excellent. I have found some “colonie Francois” coppers as well. Man you are ON IT in that spot though!!
You nailed it. The hole with two broaches had iron in it and the sound was only one way. I was expecting a pull tab. By you never know for sure until you dig.
Eric have you ever dug a Fur Trade silver ring? If so does it have a maker's mark? I mentioned on your last video I had dug one but mine has no marks but has Native designs. I've read many smaller trade pieces were never marked? Thanks!
Yes I have a handful of silver fur trade era rings, and none are marked. You are correct typically only larger items were marked due to the larger size of the makers mark stamp. Congrats on your find.

Thank you and congrats on your finds. I don’t find a ton of copper culture, but do have several nice pieces. Knife, couple spear heads and some awls.

That’s a great suggestion. I have used this technique in heavy iron spots but could be worth trying here as well.
How cool to find the key to the lock! Congrats on the navy button which is my fave of this videos hunt.
Thank you so much for watching.

Great finds, I bet the holes in the metal was the beginnings of a lamp cover to make patterns.
That’s a cool thought. Could have been. I was thinking strainer
Another great video thanks much
Glad you enjoyed it, thank you

I have done some coastal Mississippi hunts it’s nice and sandy, but the plant growth is tough. Thanks for the sub and good luck out there.
@@Eric_Detectorist yeah compared to northern woods this is tough digging down here. Nice mild soil though
Great vid! Really like that SLQ !
Thank you very much.
You can use 1/2 bee's wax / 1/2 linseed oil to preserve your iron.
Thank you for the tip. I’ll try that.
That's why you're supposed to dig every hole

I am interested in your cleaning process Eric. You get stuff looking nice.
Thank you, I plan to put out some videos this winter when the ground freezes

@@Eric_Detectorist thankyou and congratulations
How do you combat the mosquitos?
Not horribly, most areas I hunt aren’t very buggy. Lucky for me. Poison ivy is my biggest nemesis.
White arrowhead at 19:50?
I’ll have to go look, I may have missed that.
