I'm currently building a large African zoo (and slowly uploading my first videos about them) but when Leaf gets into Africa, I sit up straight and pay attention. I've learned so much from you and can only hope my work can one day inspire maybe one person in the way you've inspired me and have been a community leader for this game
This zoo is amazing! Thank you. I live in South Africa and the big five has always and will always be one of my favorite parts of South Africa and of being a South African. It's really cool that you're making a zoo dedicated to them. 😁
Hey! Also a fellow South African! It's so nice that people can learn more about all the amazing animals we have here! It would be so cool if we could also get animals like a Kudu or an Eland! Maybe even the Cape Giraffe and the Souther Lion, as we only have the West African Lion in game
now that you have the big five, you could do another big quintuplet that planet zoo made possible with the leopard - big cats! (there are 7 if you ask some people, some people like to add the clouded leopard and its sunda relative) - tiger, lion, jaguar, african leopard and snow leopard, it would be awesome to see this from you! :)
I might throw Ring-Tailed Lemurs in there soon because they /do/ have interspecies enrichment, but I wanted to let them have the stage for themselves for a bit!
What a beautiful entrance area! Didn’t know there are Tsingy rocks on the workshop btw. I’m working on a sifaka habitat based on Bronx Zoo myself and it’s not easy to create those sharp rock formations with ingame pieces. I’m gonna check them out!
I loved watching your video after first seeing the pictures on Frontier forums. What drew me in is the central building, as you really nailed the African colonial architecture.
İm south african and a zoolgist and seen them in the wild you should make the kruger natinel park But please add all of the gezzele and reptiles if birds are realeased put them too
I’m so excited to see more of this series! Btw The new leopard looks amazing in my opinion. Also, is it ok if I use some of your ideas? I can’t believe how good you can make your habitats, I’m just not good at mixing plants and foliage, do you have a tutorial for that?
Awesome video!!! Also 2 things, 1 I'm planning on doing an Afican themed zoo, and 2 can you update the Giraffe to 1.18 and make it so it has an interspecies mixed habitat bonous with the African Savanna Elephant plz?
Absolutely wonderful work Leaf. I'm excited to see the next video, with the Big 5 in their habitats. I don't really have anymore to say here, but it was a great video, and deserving of an Australian National Anthem. Australians all let us rejoice For we are young and free We've golden soil and wealth for toil Our home is girt by sea Our land abounds in nature's gifts Of beauty, rich and rare In history's page let every stage Advance Australia fair In joyful strains then let us sing Advance Australia fair Beneath our radiant Southern Cross We'll toil with hearts and hands To make this Commonwealth of ours Renowned of all the lands For those who've across the seas We've boundless plains to share With courage let us all combine To advance Australia fair In joyful strains then let us sing Advance Australia fair
Ive been playing for abt a year and i have to say ive gotten pretty good at habitat building but foliage in an african habitat i really struggle with, normally i js put a load of buffalo grass, any tips to make it better
Leaf got to say the Southern White Rhino should be the one you build for not black as at least for me the white rhino is what comes to mind for the big five and it's still around do to hunting that help fund it population to grow in the 20th century. Also here are the animals I think should be in the park to fit the African hunting theme: Spotted Hyena, Nyala, Nile Lechwe, African Buffalo (good job saying Cape Buffalo in your video), Kirk's Dik-Dik, African Leopard, African Savannah Elephant, Plains Zebra, Blue Wildebeest, Black Wildebeest, Black Rhinoceros, Southern White Rhinoceros, Sable Antelope, Springbok, Thomson's Gazelle, West African Lion, Gemsbok, Hippopotamus, Common Warthog, Reticulated Giraffe, Bongo, and Nile Crocodile.
i dont play planet zoo but i play prehistoric kingdom but your park is AWSOME!! is it oke i take/copy some of the things and put in my prehistoric zoo?
So i reacently watched channel ewolution square and she made mantha corp island so basicly an island with four diffrent biomes on it and i fougth what if you did this in planet zoo so this my idea what could be your next zoo
Hmm now your video got me thinking why African Bufallo is there but not Hippos... Aren't them the most dangerous animal in Africa? Hunting them is easier than hunting Bufallos? Also why there aren't any big 5 for Europe or Asia or Americas? That is racist 😝 Also nice video, watching you build is an amazing experience.
Respectfully, I think that this approach I've been doing over the past year, in my eyes, has been a lot more personal. My older videos will always be there for anyone to enjoy, and while I am sure they had a lot more charm in terms of "authenticity", I myself want to make content that even I myself enjoy watching and revisiting. And because of that, I want to structure my videos in the same way of videos that I like to watch in my own time, drawing inspiration from other creators from other games and forms of content in general. I find a lot more reward in crafting a script, crafting a map from scratch, and piecing the puzzle together to create something I can say I'm proud of, much more than building for three hours, speeding up the footage, then activating yap mode over it. To me I find no real joy in that. I don't feel validated in terms of my artistry, however it is valued by other people. In the future, I might consider doing long-form content of just me narrating my process as I build, but to me, this is the style of content that I really want to focus and hammer down on. I much prefer the value of crafting stories like the one in this video, rather than talking over me making habitats on a zoo map. I truly hope you can understand, and I apologize that the content has shifted from where you originally joined.

This is the best feeling, when you’re making a zoo and your favorite builder uploads a zoo series of the same type. Liquid gold
Same lol
as a south african i was and am so happy with all the new african animals! so excited to see what else you come up with
It's so cool to see other South Africans here!
all loocking great. Happy to see the planing episode. I start my first "proper" zoo so that will help. Hope it comes out soon
Loved the way you showed and explained your "habitat footprints." Also overall an informative and greatly paced video.
This zoo is amazing! Thank you. I live in South Africa and the big five has always and will always be one of my favorite parts of South Africa and of being a South African. It's really cool that you're making a zoo dedicated to them. 😁

I love the fences you created. It's something so simple, yet is makes the habitat look so much better.
New Leaf project, I AM SO HYPED! I love your planning method, so ready for that video as well. The entrance animal enclosures look great!
It's gonna be a whole vibe bestie 💅🫶
Wooow i love the fact that you made the Tsingy Limestone Formations for the Sifaka Lemur so coolll!!!!
I was really hoping that the Sifaka were grouped in with the rest of the lemurs (also mad appreciation for a Lion King 1 1/2 reference)
I might throw Ring-Tailed Lemurs in there soon because they /do/ have interspecies enrichment, but I wanted to let them have the stage for themselves for a bit!
@@LeafProductions reasonable. Also will this zoo contain every African animal in the game?
What a beautiful entrance area! Didn’t know there are Tsingy rocks on the workshop btw. I’m working on a sifaka habitat based on Bronx Zoo myself and it’s not easy to create those sharp rock formations with ingame pieces. I’m gonna check them out!
"A force to be wrecking with" 😂 reckoned with.

💚
This is such a cool idea! Keep up the good work!
I’m def gonna be using you for inspo for my African zoo :)
It’s really cute how enthusiastic you are talking abt zoos irl!
This is an amazing start! Can't wait to see the rest of the park!
You're in for a treat!
Maaaan you are amazing at this
Thank you!
Your rock work and grass work in the habitats are so effective. I’m jealous.
I work with Spurred tortoises at the zoo I work at. I have a soft spot for them, so I was super excited to see them added to the game.
Really cool!!!
Thanks, Leaf! I like that video.
So glad you enjoyed it! 💚
@@LeafProductions gee, thanks.
Nice, found ur channel few days back. I am glad! :)
Ah it looks so good!
Lovely habitats for africas small 5 😍

Thank you! 😃
Can’t wait to see this play out!! I’m just wondering if you will be mixing some smaller species in with the buffalo or rhino?

ABSOLUTELY! I encourage everyone to learn from their creators!
I thought the hippo was part of the big 5
Nope!
Sometimes varies, depending on your definition, you'd typically have Zebra and Giraffe included, so
It probably should be added purely because of it's reputation 😵💫☠️
@@JTScottOfficialnot really... Where did you hear that?
Ok because a scientist went to Kenya to study the big 5 and the list was buffalo, rhino, hippo, elephant, leopard and something else
Ahhhh unmodded African lion jumpscare!!
What are all the plants used? And are the small rock fences on the workshop?
Awesome video!!! Also 2 things, 1 I'm planning on doing an Afican themed zoo, and 2 can you update the Giraffe to 1.18 and make it so it has an interspecies mixed habitat bonous with the African Savanna Elephant plz?

what about a third episode with modded africa animals around theoutskirts of the park?

How do you build like this
When you said WEENIE I thought you were referring to a HOTDOG 😂 I didn't know it was also something to attract your eye in an amusement park or zoo
#GIRLBOSS!
how did you get footprint planning
I made it myself with Plaster Pieces!

If only they didn’t make the lion look so... awful
