I agree. When you train your body and mind, you sometimes need to put yourself under the test, whether on competition or even at street, or wherever. To find out “where you are”, or more precisely who you are

If you start training at 14 though, you may be too stiff and inflexible unfortunately.
@@nicksmith3746 This is a possibility of course, but looking at Shihan Valeri’s kicks, we can’t say that this is an absolute rule 👊
The only thing he cares is Shin Kyokushin (bare feet interview in the room)
He’s Shinkyokushin, why should he care what other organizations do ? 🫠
The interview was shot between 2 trainings, if bare feet disturb you, combat sports might not be made for you 😬
