Thanks mate! Just been focusing on making each one a little better haha. This is the last video now until the course is finished. Got some big plans for the first videos back. 🤙
Yeah it's definitely not as easy at it looks. Trying to focus on the other drone whilst also making sure you're not going to hit anything else 😅 it's good when it comes together though 😃
Awesome video!!! I am a beginner (I received my Avata 2 days ago. I had Mavic Pro, Mini 2 and Mini 3 Pro mainly for video :) ) Today I connected my smartphone as a repeater and set up the full grid on the screen. At home I played (using Avatar in my hands) to go through the door frame to learn what the view on the screen is (when everything is going well... or badly :) ). I found it very useful, and now I am more confident to go through the branches. I hope it can help beginners. I think that when the small rectangle is located inside the target, the drone is safe. Another tip, you have to cruise with a bit of speed to go through obstacles and look far ahead. I'll let you confirm or deny what I said 😀
Thank you! That's awesome! Yeah that's a good way of getting an idea of what the image looks like on the screen. Yep, through the gap and far ahead will make it easier to get the drone where you want it to go! 😃
Even with a Mavic type drone, getting good chase footage is not easy. I've tried! You think it would be pretty straightforward until you've tried. Well done boys! Stunning footage, and as usual, well put together, love the sound design as always ❤
Crazy! There is a lot going on! Not just direction, but elevation and speed adjustments are continuous! It would take a while to recreate the flight in the death star in Star Wars, but that volcano certainly has the possibilities!!! What a fun day it looks like that was!
Yep, it's a lot to think about, whilst also focussing on the environment and making sure my flight line is also safe and looks nice too. Feels amazing after a while and you get it more dialed in. It was a very fun day and I'd love to do more chasing 😃
Nice guys that was cool. I get stuck in the clouds with my Avata 2, it thinks the cloud is the ground, took me mins get out once! I feel the motion controller would be better to keep together. I just got the RC3 and I really feel that motion ocntroller is under rated!! Ive done 500km travel with it and never crashed! Thanks for still doing the vids man - im off for a fly in New Zealand!
Thanks mate! haha, I can see why it got confused with the clouds. Yeah, the Motion controller is definitely good for certain shots. I still carry it with me even if I rarely get it out as I prefer to be fully manual. New Zealand will be awesome! Have fun man! 😃
Nice - that beeping is so reassuring when your drone is down and out of sight! Hey quick question - when you lend your goggles to passer-bys, are you just flying line-of-sight or outputting your video feed some other way?
Yeah it really is helpful! I normally just play back a previous recording from the location. I have my drones set to record both the goggles and drone feed at the same time so I have all the same clips on my goggles, albeit without stabilisation and with the OSD but it's still good to watch 😃
@@JustinBainbridgeYT Oh, you just cheat! Haha, that works. I was on holiday recently and my nieces wanted to see so I flew LOS but I'm awful at that. They were still impressed though!
@rlamontsmith haha I've also flown line of sight a few times, but most of the time it's easier to just show them a recording haha. That way I can also film their reaction 😅
If DJI could develop a "buddies flying" mode that can indicate where the other drone is (just like the home indicator) or even automate some tricks for two or more drones.... that would be cool... and good for the sales too because people would buy more drones!!! Just a random thought 😅
Yeah, that would be awesome. They had something similar on the original FPV to indicate where full-size aircraft were, but it would be handy for fpv too. Especially in Bali where there can be 5-10 drones in the sky at some locations. 😅
1 crash later the next morning into a muddy rice fields before leaving to the airport. have to quickly rinse the hell out of those motors to get the mud out. few weeks later it's still flying strong. haven't crash since then. lol😂
hey Justin, thank you for your videos they are very inspiring - said this, I wanted to ask you something technic about the avata2, not sure if its me doing something wrong or if the condition were not perfect for flying lately in my area but I noticed my avata 2 shifting to the right when trying to fly straight in manual. do you have suggestions on how to avoid this issue?
Hey! Thank you for the kind words! It'll just be the wind. You just need to fly to the conditions and you will get used to the feeling. With it just being a single axis gimbal you will see more of what the drone is doing to respond to the wind. But that also gives us the FPV footage that we love. Hope this helps 😃
Nice video, need to put the bright LED lights on the Drones so its easier to see and have that Star Wars look. Like at the end where his little drone is yelling HELP HELP HELP.
Haha yeah bright lights would probably help as they just blend in so well with the background sometimes. You really have to focus to see where the other one is. 😅
Yeah just seen the new update, I guess its mostly to add compatibility for the new Goggles N3 and a couple other bits, but I will head out and try it in the coming days 🤙 I don't hold much hope for it being fixed but who knows 😅
@JustinBainbridgeYT might be worth a shot it says at the bottom "fix for some issues". If I didn't live in a red area zone I'd be testing that right now 😅
@@AltitudeAerials Just tested it, still the same. I don't think this will ever get fixed to be honest 😅 shame because I know people have lost their drones because of this. But hey, I tried
Yeah, it was tricky lighting at the volcano, taking off then clouds coming more and more, making it darker, I did what I could to bring it back to life in post but it was just a difficult one haha 😅
My avata 2 crashed cuz of signal loss, surely dji wont do anything about it soon but i get a indicator that says “Battery cell error”. Is my battery done for? (I still got flymore kit)
Love the quality your putting out now
It’s crazy! 🎉🎉
Thanks mate! Just been focusing on making each one a little better haha. This is the last video now until the course is finished. Got some big plans for the first videos back. 🤙

Awesome video I really enjoy it
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it! 😃
Just wow, amazing video looks like fun flying to people at once thanks for sharing😊🙏
Thank you! Yeah it's a lot of fun flying with other people, especially doing chasing like this. Thanks for watching 😃
Amazing!!!! Super chase day!!! Well done guys!!! 👏👏👏
🐝🐝👍
Thanks Chris! Glad you enjoyed it 🛸🛸☁️🍻
Man, this wass a great opportunity to use LEDs.... But I really like your videos. This was fun
Hey! Yeah I didn't even think about LED's. It was a fairly last minute video idea but I will definitely pick some up for next time 😃
😂brilliant lads good fun
Chasing looks so cool nice work guys
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it! 😃
I've tried chasing only once....not as easy as it looks! Fun!

Yeah, chase footage is definitely a skill in itself. There's a lot to consider haha. Thank you for your continued support and kind words ☺️

Just casually dropping an expensive drone like its pocket change, outstanding.haha
Haha it was a painful sound when it hit the ground but it's all good. 😅

haha mad times. Hopefully it doesnt have any more bad crashes 😅 Avata 2 💪

@JustinBainbridgeYT really enjoy your videos, the location is beautiful. Can only imagine waking up to that every morning.
Mate, might want to recreate the losing altitude issue with the rth. Avata2 update came put today on the dji fly app. Hopefully they've fixed it 🤞

@@JustinBainbridgeYT hopefully it's fixed!
@@AltitudeAerials Just tested it, still the same. I don't think this will ever get fixed to be honest 😅 shame because I know people have lost their drones because of this. But hey, I tried
Now I have to learn how to turn on the beeper...!
Hey! you can find out how to do that plus more in this video here - ruclips.net/video/oqoJwqXzjnA/видео.html
Hi i think you video are little under exposure, please add more exposure and push down the shadow so we can see the beautifull bali landscape😊
Yeah, it was tricky lighting at the volcano, taking off then clouds coming more and more, making it darker, I did what I could to bring it back to life in post but it was just a difficult one haha 😅
definitely need LEDs for your next chase
Yeah LED's would be cool for chasing too, It'd defintely make the other drone easier to spot in some situations too. 😃
My avata 2 crashed cuz of signal loss, surely dji wont do anything about it soon but i get a indicator that says “Battery cell error”. Is my battery done for? (I still got flymore kit)
I would reach out and see if they can help you, sometimes DJI can be really good about this kind of thing. The battery sounds like it's done though.
