I have a Dyson DC 14.Your video was the first one I found that instructed how to take apart the clutch so that I can replace the large belt (Dyson 05361-01-03) without having to spend $30 to replace the whole clutch. Cheers!

Great how-to video! I needed to swap out the damaged power cord on our DC07. After watching this video, I decided to do a full refurbishment (filters, cord, brush, and belts) and cleaning. Our DC07 is ready for another 10 years now. Thanks!

Great video and "how to". I pulled my DC 07 from a dumpster and with your help have been able to completely refurbish it. It was completely clogged with dust inside the cyclone hopper, and the washable filter. At least a pound of dirt was in the cyclone area. Washing this out with a hose in the yard did the trick. There is something satisfying about recycling this vacuum.

OK, I've viewed a ton of tutorials on youtube, and almost always I'm disappointed. Not this time. To me this video is the standard barer of tutorials.
    This guy is good!
Thorough, concise, complete. I have renewed faith in my fellow man. prior to this vid I was convinced that nobody knew how to record/post a COMPLETE video on youtube. Thank You for not only quelling my cynicism? but also, sharing your vast knowledge of the dyson machines, giving me confidence to tackle both belts on my DC33.

So I was about to sell my DC07 on eBay for parts and some guy writes me and says "Watch this guy's video." While I think it's SOooooo kind of you to provide this for us "common folk", it looks like buying a new vacuum would be easier!! Brilliant video for the peeps who love their workbench and have the patience. I will need my laptop handy and at my side if and when I try this clutch replacement. Forget about changing the darn belts, it's easier to just buy the clutch with the new belts and go from there. Thanks Again Brother - You are one of a kind ! :-)

this is amazing. Thank you so much. I have had my dyson for 10 years and it is in great shape. My son got his first apartment and told me to get him a dyson. He knows I shop estate/garage sales. I found a dc07 animal for 10 bucks at a garage sale. I wanted to give it a good clean/servicing and you saved me a load of money. I am going to get mega love from my son for this one. You rock sir. :)

Excellent Video. New German Shepherd literally attacked the vacuum cleaner and broke off multiple plastic pieces. Your video saved me breaking other plastic pieces during disassembly and reassembly. replaced the Cleaner Head, Valve Carriage (Pain in the you know what), Valve pipe, and a couple of rubber seals. A very good instructive video. Good Job. The 'Warnings' on certain areas of the machines is valuable information.
Our 16+ yr old Corgi (they have a double coat and shed a LOT) passed away recently and right when we were going to vacuum afterward the Brush Bar stopped working.
He was a fantastic pet and part of the family for so long and this DC14 Animal did the job.
We have owned the DC14 Animal since 2005. I figured out it had to be the Clutch since the Brush Bar simply stopped working.
So I am having a local shop pick ours up in the next few days to fix it. It is nice to 'see' how it is done though.
The cost will be $50.00 for labor and $60.00 for the Clutch.
To me this is very acceptable since that machine has been a God-Send for all these years.
However, we did purchase the newer Dyson Animal 2 ($300.00) and it seems to be working fine.
But, I do not want to toss out the older one. So I am having it fixed and will give it to our daughter.
Thanks again for your Time and Effort to share the knowledge on these machines.
If your shop was closer to us I would have had you fix our DC14 Animal.

First let me say, this was an awesome video, very clear instructions. Thank you!
This is my experience and we are DIYers:
    Oct. 2018.
My Dyson DC07, duct assembly was broken near the top where hose and wand get attached.
Dyson Canada no longer doing repairs on these out-dated machines. But I just had it rebuilt and serviced maybe 4 years ago and I love this workhorse of a machine.
Anyway, I scoured RUclips for “how to install duct assembly” and found nothing!
So, I checked out this video, and although my specific problem was mentioned, I thought I could learn how to take the unit apart and put it back together!
I watched the video and then helped Hubby go about replacing duct assembly. There were a number of cuss words, some watching instructions a number of times, walking away with great frustration and returning and 3 1/2 hours later we turned it on and DONE!
We did encounter some issues and had to take apart (not completely) a few times.
A few things to note, the part cost (US$106) plus taxes and shipping $160 CDN. it took a total of let’s say 6 man hours.
Was it worth fixing at home???

Couple tricky parts, but your guidance was very helpful. The vacuum is fixed and working like new. Now if you had a training video on teaching someone to actually look and clean the drum from enough hair to make a wig, that would be helpful. That couldn't possibly have anything to do with a stretched belt, could it??????? Naw.
