I tried this and they turned out great. I have viewed other petal videos and the technique took too long but your technique with wrapping the lock around the fingers worked like a dream and only took me maybe 1 hour. i lost track of the time because i did it while watching a movie. thanks so very much.

Time consuming but so worth it! I did the front of my hair and twisted the back upwards in a bun. I got sooooooo many compliments! After I did the loops, I held the main lock and slid the other loops toward my scalp (like tying a tie motion). This made them not “flop” around.
i retwist locs all the time and a friend asked me about barrell locks yall young ones have so many name for things but i wanted to tell you that the petal thing is awesome plus i looked at some of your other tutorials you my dear are very informative and its easy to listen to you thank you

hey Chescalocs. did this for my 3year lockaversary. Loved it... time went pretty fast for me. I did use the cheaper rubberbands because the stronger ones are hard to take out. But the cheap ones basically popped out.. lol as they style got older. but i loved it and got a Whole lot of compliments on my hair. Love the channel. keep up with the video tutorials. :)

I've been following you for a long time.I think any loc style on you looks beautiful My locs are to my but. I'm going to try this next time I wash my locs. I tried the loc knots and loved the results and get tons of compliments, whether I wear the knots or after I take the knots down. Also I wear my locs in the upsweep side piled high on top you once demo lots compliment on that style to, I had given up on styling my long locs you inspired me now I love my long locs again Thanks for sharing

This is a fun style...I did the front half of my locks in the petals, gave it a lil side pinned flare and wore the back in a braided bun. Really fun! I hope to do the entire head soon!
