Syd Just wanted to play music for his friends, he was disillusioned by the record companies and music industry in whole. Though his acid abuse probably didn't help much either creatively.
@@rionthemagnificent2971 The acid use if anything pushed his creativity too far. He definitely wasn't schizo, but he was on Mandrax often in these sessions. You can tell in some of the songs that have very off sync timing
Think about this: of all of the versions he tried, this is the one the editors found less terrible! In walks living legend Sid Barrett and says he wants to record an album, you notice the guy is kind of off, but heck, it's Syd fuckin Barrett (you make a couple calls just to be sure), then you go like "okay, let's make an album!" Imagine the lottery winner face on the guy who was in charge that day, and then imagine how awe came to be "just fuck it, if I have to listen to him singing this stuff one more time I'll kill myself, fuck it this goes into the album"

Because he just didn't care, he was looking for fun that's it. I can compare Syd to Ronaldinho. He was playing with the smile on his face, trolling his opponents and having the time of his life. Then he got sucked in the business, got bored, drunk, over sized and the magic was gone
One of the most unique artists and recordings that I've ever heard. This is so raw and primal. I fucking love how imperfectly perfect it is...and is a huge influence on my own songwriting For years, I thought I needed all of these crazy instruments to complete my songs. Umm...no. RIP Syd :)

The fact is that it's a pity to see songgs like this, which couls have been masterpieces corectly finished and with good arrangements... Lo malo es que Sys componía de memoria y luego olvidaba lo que había compuesto... asi que era imposible trabajarlas correctamente. The bad thing is that syd composed this songs in the momento ans then ha was not capable to remember them... so the musicians had not any idea to work about them... I had in my head many posible arrangements to this song, whick could made it a song at the level of "see emily play"... but i¡m not a musician...
it's not dead, this is just a bad take that was used as a final take because Waters & Gilmour suck. He's great on every other song, except She Took A Long Cold Look 4th take is way better than the final
