    I grew up in Cicero on 15th and Cuyler. My grandfather was more than an acquaintance of Mr. Capone and spent 20 years in Joliet in his youth. He was repaid by being made a foreman at Halfner Construction.

    I lived at 12:13 Austin Boulevard right down a few blocks from there great memories love the neighborhood grew up there in the 70s 80s and 90s

    That corner restaurant behind you guys at the very beginning of the video is Freddie's pizza. Legendary spot.

      All Freddy's pizzas the best they have the best food there the best Italian Ice we used to go there as kids and I still go there every time I find a new girlfriend I take her there and I live a two hours away in Loves Park Illinois and I still take people to Cicero for the food and Mr Submarine

      I grew up at 12:15 Austin Boulevard between 1980 and 1983 but I grew up in Cicero between the '70s '80s and '90s into the 2000s love the neighborhood Miss Freddy's Pizza missed the neighborhood great memories

    I grew up a block from there. Those were always apartments, and that tile floor is original.....Capone walked on it!

      @@Robert-kc7on I went to Cicero, too! Burnham was 6th & 7th grade, 1980-1982, Cicero was also 7th & 8th, '82-'83. Before all that was Sherlock. Morton West '83-84, then we moved downstate.

    I know that building. It might be rewarding to search the basement of this rather large building. The walls are 2 1/2 or 3 bricks thick. Apartments now.

      aww bummer ! did you ask the historical society if they wanted those windows or any museum downtown? i hoe you repurposed them and didn't just toss those artifacts out . i grew up there and have a long family history with cicero . it would really be a shame if those were lost .
