Sorry S T, the folded pillows had been packed since being manufactured and wouldn't have been much to look at until the foam expanded. The one I was holding had been on display, so I just mentioned the sizes of the others. ~ Ben
@@SnowysOutdoors Fair, but could you tell us what size the display one you were holding is??? Appreciate the review, but that would be the most useful information and it's not there. Thanks!
@@SnowysOutdoors Yes, but this is supposed to be a demonstration video. A person trying to make a decision needs all of the information, visually and textually, that they can get. I need to see what the smaller one looks like, unfolded, to weigh the pros or cons against the size it's folded into, and I'm clueless about how it looks unfolded.
I figured that by showing the one it would give an indication of how much they all puff up to relative to their overall dimensions, I hope the video otherwise answered your questions. ~ Ben
@@SnowysOutdoors I rewatched it because I thought maybe I was the one who missed it. LOL! (Usually the case. 🤣) The small looks smaller packed up than when you demonstrate rolling it up and then place it near the others, so I'm guessing medium might be more likely? I know measurements are given on the website, but sometimes it easier to see the scale of things when they're in someone's hands.
How would you compare this and Sea To Summit foamcore pillows? They both looks similar, but this one is more expensive. I'm trying to figure which one is best bang for buck and which is more comfy.
As of just recently I've used both, Jessica. I actually found the Sea To Summit Foamcore pillows to be more supportive, but a little more bulky to pack away. Both versions benefit from machine washing though, the support increases twofold after a good wash. ~ Ben
It will probably be really comfortable to sleep on, they are best stored open, you'll just have to put a bit more effort into compressing it down for transport. ~ Ben
I've used this pillow and the Sea To Summit Aeros pillows now, MrWinger1951, and comparing these I'd say they both have pros and cons. The Sea To Summit pillow offers good height for side sleepers comfort and small pack size, the only downside I have found is that to get the height for myself (with broad shoulders), I need the pillow to be tight, and if I am laying on my side for a long time my ear gets a little uncomfrotable. The Thermarest pillow on the other hand offers more squishiness (if that's even a word) much like your regular pillow, but I don't find it is high enough for support when I am laying on my side, plus, it is much larger when packed. So, I couldn't place one over the other in terms of comfort, it is sort of a case of the same but different. I'm not sure I've been overly helpful here sorry. ~ Ben
Nope, far from it, Paul. We a humble, independent family owned business with a couple of stores and a website. We just have a lot of awesome and passionate people working here. ~ Ben
@@SnowysOutdoors We have a locally owned camping store downtown The Mountain Chalet. The REI chain store is up north. And another chain store that moved in 2021 is far north up by the USAF Academy. So better location and knowing staff. And if they don't have it in-store they will order it for you online from Osprey etc.
They don't look real good when unrolled from new, I didn't want to scare people off from what they can look like unrolled. They need to sit for a while and end up looking like the one I am holding. ~ Ben
Should have opened up all the pillows to show us a quick size comparison.

So glad to hear the last section about how they expand over time! I just received mine and unpacked it and thought I'd made a terrible decision!
Give it time, George, and throw it in the washing machine, it will puff up. ~ Ben
might chuck one of these in my bedding bag, so i never forget a pillow
That's what I plan on doing... leaving one rolled up in my swag. ~ Ben
Helpful but would have been handy to see them all out of their compression state to see how big they are.

Nice video mate, seems like a cool product!
Thanks, they are pretty neat. ~ Ben
What size is the one you initially showed at the beginning, please?
Good question, Coralie, I thought I mentioned this but it seems I may have missed that detail. It was either a small or a medium-size. ~ Ben

Mine got left open for a year …. Is there anyway it will go back to how it was?

That seam is a deal-breaker for me.
Can understand that, may be a sensory issue for some people

Thanks
You're welcome. ~ Ben
Thanks for the video. The tag that comes with the pillow doesn’t do a good job of explaining how it works.
Glad we could help

do you still sell the extra large?
We don't sorry, as far as I am aware there are only three sizes available of which x-large is not one. ~ Ben

I personally don’t like this pillow and it feels so lumpy with small bits of foam. It sinks in too much as your head is resting on it.
Thanks for the feedback @Kevin L, finding the right pillow can be a challenge sometimes!
