For goodness sakes, use a block of wood to hit the yoke. Every strike had me cringing. One wrong strike and the center threaded spindle would be buggered up.
I think i got this problem left my truck in a shop in alabsms but my question is what are the symptons when this piece is damaged? Regards and respect.
@@HoneyRiverRanch Exactly! When the parts store isn't around the corner, you have to use wisdom. Exercise some of that good old God-given common sense. ❤
I took my 2016 International Lonestar into Petro of Deming NM today and they told me it would take 5 to 6 hours to change the carrier bearing and cost me almost $900!! I think this is a RIP-OFF!! Yes??

Drive shaft spins into power divider and truck goes nowhere
Sometimes you can lock the power divider in and get it to drive off the back rear end sometimes you can’t
Every time someone uses I torch I immediately rule myself out.
What’s the Part number for that bearing ?
What the nut size
You were doing good until you mucked up the nut a new nut and washer 12 bucks but you done to repair right.🤫🤫👌
70 miles from this shop to parts store we gotta make due from time to time

Yeah but that’s how repairs on the road go
I've never had one take me more than 3 hours, and that was more due to ujoint issues. No way would it take 5 hours to replace a carrier bearing.
I got my coolant reservoir, carrier bearing, tensioner pulley, and water pump replaced for $437 . Your definitely getting ripped off
