I have been trying to beat the Necroa Virus at NORMAL for over 4 months now, and you first try easy beat it on Mega Brutal. I got it now, thanks to your great tactic.
What I noticed is that upgrading combat efficiency is extremely effective. Fortified countries can destroy literally dozens of millions of non-upgraded zombies.
Gotta say, this strategy actually works (on mega brutal) if you follow exactly how it's done here. Passed it in about 2 years (644 days), due to Russia getting nuked by America and killing all my zombies in the process.

This is probably one of my favourite plague types ngl. Struggled with it quite a bit but this video really helped. It's so satisfying to wipe out humanity even after the cure is complete.
Actually, remember there's a tunnel under the English Channel. So zombies can walk from France to England pretty easily, though if the civilian authorities fortify the Chunnel exit they could hold them off for a while.
I hope this helps me, just about to watch this after about 5 failed attempts, and on filthy CASUAL! I tried normal and have managed so far, had a little trouble with fungus, but no matter what I do with necroa, the research speed is insane and I have to spend so many points to devolve it first so it can spread without being noticed, that I end up with no points to increase symptoms and lethality. Arghhhhhhhh
Instead of devolving things, crank up the infectivity with a little lethality so that states can break down, what you're doing is that your giving that perfect mix of unnoticeable and too deadly for research, which will fuck you up so bad up the ass.

I hope this helps me, just about to watch this after about 5 failed attempts, and on filthy CASUAL! I tried normal and have managed so far, had a little trouble with fungus, but no matter what I do with necroa, the research speed is insane and I have to spend so many points to devolve it first so it can spread without being noticed, that I end up with no points to increase symptoms and lethality. Arghhhhhhhh
Instead of devolving things, crank up the infectivity with a little lethality so that states can break down, what you're doing is that your giving that perfect mix of unnoticeable and too deadly for research, which will fuck you up so bad up the ass.
