For all the people wondering why theres no people. 1. This was filmed in the morning. 2. In the summer most people use underground tunnels in downtown houston, theres shops, resturants and miles of tunnels to explore. People use these to avoid the heat while wearing work clothes. 3. Downtown houston is for work, not alot of people live in this area. 4. Houston is huge, most areas that are busy are outside of downwotn. Galleria, uptown, the heights, memorial are all busy areas where people live and shop, and usually have much more people walking around.... most newer US cities were designed to have downtown cores that were meant for working only, with surrounding communities where people live, walk and shop. Houston residents try and avoid the heat as much as possible while working. You will find more people walking at the many parks within Houston then you will on the streets of downtown. Memorial Park is twice the sizs of central park, and has 100,000 people using it daily. If you want to see people, go there. Or wait until night time, downtown houston comes alive at night. Especially when theres an asros or dynamo game. Or one of the many festivals downtown has. Or go to the museum or zoo district if you want to see hundreds of thousands of people aimlessly wandering around. Personally i like the quiet nature of downtown, not sure why people enjoy overcrowded cities so much. The vast majority of humans suck, so the less the better.
I heard when It's very hot people walk underground in a tunnel to stay cool. That's why they are not on the street above. That's why it looks like a ghost town but the people are there. And there are restaurants, shops and movie theaters in the underground tunnels.
@@AugustusRex-nk8zethis is downtown, it's nothing but offices. People work during the day. People mostly live in suburbs and surrounding high rise areas outside of downtown. However at night, the downtown area is very busy. Especially after sports games.. not to mention Houston has miles of underground tunnels that have shops, playgrounds, restaurants etc. This is where ppl travel around when downtown, so they don't have to deal with the heat outside.

It’s dead. Everyone uses cars. Houston’s nothing like other Urban metropolises, it’s a dead city where everyone drives instead of walking. Lacks public transit and downtown is mostly offices. Just bland. That’s why Dallas and San Antonio’s better

European cities suck. Unless you like getting harassed and scammed by Gypsies and refugees everywhere you go. If you like overcrowded streets from endless tourists. It's only fun for a day or two. Def not fun to live, unless you live in a European city that Americans and asians have never heard of so they don't visit by the millions. As a former European, US cities are much more peaceful to live in.
What a ghost town. Been watching europeans walking tour and it's days & nights the number of people walking outside AND the average size of Europeans compared to Americans. 😅 😅😅😅
Other clean cities with downtowns full of vibrancy and visitors. Try Chicago which has a top core here in the USA. Check out videos of that city with people out and about, its tourist attractions filled and its main corridor thru the core with people. Is it NYC packed? No, during events and festivals it is. It is also one of our cleanest cities with a core that is VERY CLEAN and green with parks and in later spring, summer and fall it shines. The Lakefront full of boats and it has beaches in its core and harbors. I just watched this video of a Big Bus on top driving tour. Goes thru the business district and how manicured its downtown parks are and lakefront and streets and sidewalks are clean. This video was posted the day of this comment and recorded this week. LOTS OF VISITORS on a weekend in-city, its parks and lakefront. It goes by some of its top museums and shows the skyline from them. Lot of traffic though as a event in the Park is also going on and Tourist season is here. ruclips.net/video/qZzmAuv5aYU/видео.html

I'm sure this was filmed on an early weekend morning. Houston has lots of people downtown. Even downtown ATL looks like this early weekend morning.

Thanks for the video. But where are all the people ?
Many of them are probably in the tunnels system under the streets. There is an entire city within the tunnels. Additionally it is cool down there.

It feels that errie... Wet and lonely. You know that something it is hiding inside those buildings.
Anyone know how long it would take to walk through downtown area of Houston please?
It depends on what you want to see. Houston's downtown is so massive that you cant possibly walk every part of it in 3 hours.

was asking the same. its like a ghost town or city. Or was this recorded during the covid lockdown or its just how the city CBD is ?
Where are the people ? no body lives in this city ?
There’s little people walking because everyone is already where they need to be, or the place they need to go isn’t in walking distance lol
It’s actually freaky how empty this city is
Where better to live work and buy property Texas Huston or FL Miami I'm looking for similar lifestyle like Dubai

More cars than there are more people
