  • The Variable Buoyancy system has been developed for the nuclear market. Using standard Rovtech Solutions technology, proven within the ponds on Sellafield Sites, the addition of the variable buoyancy extends operational windows by removing the vertical thrusters which are a major cause of visibility issues.
The Remotely Operated Vehicle is a scalable technology which can be fitted to the full range of Rovtech ROVs or bespoke designed for specific tasks.
The video shows the prototype vehicle lifting 25kgs followed by an example of the visibility issues caused by using vertical thrusters in a sludge/silt covered enclosed pond.
The self-contained air system requires no hoses to be fed from the surface and with all electronics housed on-board (surface electronics options available) allows for a small umbilical.
