Great to see young men of color interested in vintage guitars. After all, any guitar lover owes a tremendous debt of gratitude to our great black American forefathers (and mother’s~Sister Rosetta Tharpe!) great playing!
Can't really compare it to anything, but I hear some funk and some jazz, with a little Chuck Berry foundation. And the 335 likes it. It really shines when you play it with the amp dialed in like that.
@@TheJoshA Are you?? Did you hear that rhythm?? His lead wasn't perfect, but it still had soul to it, and it sounded great. Rock isn't supposed to be perfect. It's supposed to be real
ok , that guy is the shit ,where did he come from , that is one sick guitar and some dynamic playing , I'm not big on red but that is gorgeous , and I luv this guys funk , some great rythems and huge soul , a great GOTD , one of my favorites , thanks guys.
Nice playing and, again, shows what the guitar actually sounds like, which was the original concept of GOTD. Also like Lemmo did the other day. Keep it up.
Guys, I love your channel.. Its the first thing I do every morning..(Israel time yes) really.. watch GTOD with some coffee and stuff. But i gotta say.. after watching the Reverb.com video.. guys you gotta consider upgrading your sound recording on the guitars. the Iphone mic makes every guitar sound kinda the same and its a shame. Maybe just like a Zoom recorder with a mic attached to it.. doesnt have to be something crazy. Much love ! Yonathan
PS - Yeah, my fingerboard is definitely thinner, almost to the too-thin spacing. (I don't have fat fingers, I merely have clumsy fingers with the joyful peripheral neuropathy. Which makes me dig good players even more!)
Hell yeah! Sick playing \m/ that was kickin brother. That guitar looks great on you man! I don't think I've ever seen a 335 vibe with somebody as much as with you, save maybe Chuck Berry ;)
Stunning 335, amazing player, result,...Magic!!! I think Rob would be a good guy to wrangle into guest hosting!!(just on the off chance Mr. Lemmo gets caught in traffic or something)
Frets look to have very little wear. When did they switch the case interior from gold to red? And did Gibson ever use blue interior or was that just Epiphone?
Run while you can Rob once you get into vintage there's no going back
Every time I see you I think it's me.
PowerTuber 3.0 😂😂
He's right about Lemo opening guitar cases the difficulty of it lol
Incredible rhythm players like this go underrated ever day

I could listen to these rhythm chops all day. Great player!
Beautiful guitar and he’s a great player! Nice work.
Love his playing. Just wish there was more of it 😍
Rocking that n64 shirt mike!
Rob you’re not the only fan of Lemmo around these parts!! Hahaha
I like him, he plays it just like they did back in my day! I hope he'll make frequent stops at Norm's.
wow! what a beauty. this guitar was made for this guy!
I think Rob is right, a slow reveal is necessary when opening the cases, Lemmo. Great job guys. #PinkyAssassin
Yikes! This guy is great. I hope he comes back and plays some more!
Rob is great. Not only a great player, but he was hilarious riffing on Lemmo's case opening skills. 😁👍
The Keto Life are you deaf?

What a genuinely lovely guy totally in the guitar.
I hope Rob gets the guitar! Man was in pure bliss the whole time
What a player!!! Hats off to Rob!!!
Beautiful guitar
Beautifully played
Very distinctive play style, lovin' it!
Robwas great! He really showed what that 335 could do in the right hands!
Rob is incredibly talented! great guitar player.
I kinda hope Rob Gueringer has a new cherry red 1965 Gibson 335
Me too
he bought this one
I closely associate the ES-335 to Alex lifeson from Rush. I see this on their early records, too. I'd love to play this, too!
Another WOW guitar so pretty and thank you Rob great player.

Wow, that first piece was so uplifting, just didn't play long enough.👍
That was fun!! I'm sure that has already been sold. Freaking gorgeous guitar!!
Nice playing and, again, shows what the guitar actually sounds like, which was the original concept of GOTD. Also like Lemmo did the other day. Keep it up.
Dude can play! Great chord work and funky rhythm.
What great player/gtr! So many tones in those es gtr. Bonamassa gets a set of tones, Lemmo another and Richard even more.
Great player playing a great guitar what is not to love great job Rob.
Great talent!
Beautiful guitar and a great player.
Outstanding rhythm playing, funky and clean
I’d consider a brand new one built to spec. Vintage guitars are hot stuff, and I got zero business playing one!
Oh gawd what I'd give for long fingers like Rob's, to play old wide necked Gibson's. Thanks for a nice demo.

Much love ! Yonathan
Beautiful, I used to own one exactly like that, but even mintier, no scratches on the pickguard, same year too. Why did I ever sell it?!?! 😖
Great playing I hope you come back would be cool to see you and Lemmo play
Awesome playing man, I love how you make that guitar sound so different in all three positions, it's like you are playing three different instruments!
Very nice! Thank you, Rob!👍👍✌🏼
Great stuff Rob. Sounds great
Yes, sir......
Nice job Rob ! Thanks Lemmo and Jen too ! That guitar is beautiful ya'll ! :-)
What a killer guitar! Good job Rob. You should have a special sound effect when you open the case, maybe some graphics too like POW! BOOM! 🔥💥🤩😱😵
I like his style.
Loving this one guys. I say we get Rob back again sometime soon
Awesome, not enough brothers being represented in the community right now. Cant wait for more
Brothers, schmothers. Music lovers and Patriots have no color. Let that sh*t go, man.

Sounds from the neck pickup I feel some funky, ey!!
Gorgeous guitar and great (and funny) guest!
Love this guy
Nice. Keep guitar in the mix. Doesn't have to be "guitar music". Takes all kinds. Great playing.
Holy shit Rob has achieved guitar mastery
Dang!
That 1st howl! Thought it was going to be heavy.
Enjoyed 1st & 2nd postion!!
Brilliant! 👍
Some pretty tasty playing there, Rob!
I've got an ES-335 copy, probably around 2005 or so, and even well-maintained it does not look near as pristine as this one. Lucky Rob!
PS - Yeah, my fingerboard is definitely thinner, almost to the too-thin spacing. (I don't have fat fingers, I merely have clumsy fingers with the joyful peripheral neuropathy. Which makes me dig good players even more!)
PPS - and Rob is right. Opening the case is "the reveal" and it should be done reverently and at moderate speed. It's show biz!
Oh wow. Lovely guitar really lovely and it likes you too man. Great bit of struming too!
less nerve and more verve. that was damn near smooth. thanks rob. lil wayne aint worthy!
wtf this guy is very good. better than lemmo

Great play bro!!
I can dig it
Nice review Rob.
Had that chili pepper funk vibin....slap some funky bass with that cat
Suena súper bn... Gibson es genial.
Have him come back he should play more
Gosh, he's rather good!
Great guy , great player , what a gorgeous guitar ! Sold !!!👍
Nice 👍
Just like Rob said, the guitar really is in almost perfect condition!
Excellent!! The future of guitar is in good hands.
Damn beautiful ✌️
Rob come back soon you’re not on the road yet , opening that case is like an addict taking a peep at the good stuff hehe 😜
Lemmo, what's with the tucked in tee shirt?
During the unboxing mr lemmo became mr Norm.
Rythm guitar at the best. Fine !
Frets look to have very little wear. When did they switch the case interior from gold to red? And did Gibson ever use blue interior or was that just Epiphone?
Make a "Best of Lemmo" opening cases, get dozens of short clips, then show 1 (one) clip of Angela Petrilli opening a single case.
I guess it's strictly Rhythm he doesn't want to make it cry or sing but he's probably got a daytime job he's doing all right
This guy's gotta come back! Awesome job for an awesome guitar! However! Gotta do a Maton!
Can I do the next episode of GOTD?
Let’s get some Fenders back on GOTD
I see lemmo dressed like mac demarco today
😩😂😭
First comment yes haha love these guitars
Wow does everyone need to pay attention to you? Yawn😴😴😴😴😴😴😴
Oh right, out of sight👍
Good but not quite Lemmo
Ollie Money it was terrible and you know it
Isn't this the one Noel Gallagher has?
Looks like my Gretsch except it's stupid expensive 😂
Guys, it’s is extremely boring more than half of the video with Lemmo speaking. More guitar playing!
So Rob should spend less time opening the case and more time playing the guitar. I could listen to him for a while.
With fingers like his, u better play guitar or piano!!!
Funner than that L-5? .... I got nuero tramitters still groovin'....
Come on nephew?....uh ,, ohhh .
The last guy on these videos was a good player and great in front of a camera but frankly was not as likable as this guy. Subscribed
