Nice job. Turned out really nice. Was told there was no hope for my plastics. After seeing how these turned out ill be doing some wetsanding. What grit were you using to wetsand then with?
What all grit sand paper did u use? Turned out great I know the video is old but if u still have it I’d really invest in aftermarket a arms the ltz and ex a arms are a goofy design imo
I can't remember exactly but I started out with some pretty course stuff, possibly 180 gritt, then worked my way up to about 1000 and called it there. I wasn't going for a showroom shine, just wanted to bring the color back and smooth everything out a little. Yessir a-arms are in the near future for this week. It's been getting upgrades here and there behind the scenes.
My 08 ltz 400 just randomly started not wanting to start. It will turn over once and then stop. The starter relay will start smoking and starter wire gets hot. I replaced the starter, starter relay, wiring harness, battery and positive/negative cables. Any idea what else to do?
It’s completely stock. The cylinder needed to be bored 0.20” over so we did that and I installed a stock compression 0.20” over piston. Other than that, the K&N air filter and the Lexx slip on exhaust, it’s completely stock
Hell Dnt worry bout the looks yet needs full top end kit timing chain etc.. then make it look pretty. Dnt use no cheap ass piston in this bike. Get wat you pay for.. FCR carb you need to buy
In the video you can see that’s exactly what I did. The cylinder was wore out and needed to be bored so we stuck it on the boring machine and bored it 0.20” over. I put a new stock compression 0.20” over piston in it, did new Kibblewhite valve seals, lapped the valves back into the head, got the valves back into spec adjustment, did a new DID timing chain and lastly, a new EBC full clutch kit. All this with Cometic gaskets as well.
The dollar general front bumper has always been my favorite
That old grab bar was massive 😂
Yeah that thing had to come off 😂 it has a Rath on it now
Need to see it at busco on the 9th of july
Great machines for sure. Super easy to work on, why did they ever stop making them. 🥴
