TO REMOVE OLD MOP HEAD
1) Place your feet on either side of the mop head (on the red flanges)
2) Make sure that the handle is facing away from your HEAD/FACE the pulling the handle upwards.
TO FIT NEW MOP HEAD
1) Place the HANDLE against the new MOP HEAD rotate the the head until the RED LUGS on the HEAD locate the 4 INNER NOTCHES on the POLE then click together.

Was about to buy a new Vileda pole online (couldn’t find any in shops) and thought I’d google ‘can’t get mop head off pole’ before I did and found your video.
I’d bought a replacement head and tried a few times prior to take the old one off, thinking it was a threaded end like most traditional mops. Saved me money on Christmas eve so thanks again and Merry Christmas!

Thankyou. I haven't got that blue long strips mop, I got vileda white & red stringy ended mop. I didn't know how to put the mop head on, as no instructions on the packet I don't think. This video helped me put a stringy ended mop head on! It seems like the notches fit in but won't stay somehow. You sayin the click bit, worked! You sorta jus push a tiny bit til you hear click then I think it's fixed😍Not tried it yet tho, hope it doesn't fall off🤣 I didn't need to do the feet bit with pole upright, I did it in my hands only...
