Too be honest 1. The owner did not service regularly 2. That motor was revved very high and abused. You can see from the varnish that was formed everywhere that motor got very hot. 3. Thanks for the video I liked it
engine puller is $500, new pistons are $150, lets call tools $300 if you've never wrenched a car before but want to learn still beats the shit out of $2500-$3000 to have the shop do it lol
@@dallascarney2986 Step one for me would be a shop/garage. I am now parked on the street. And with only one car, no way to get to NAPA. I would go to Pick N Pull first and video dis-assembling one first. And, oh ya, now 76 in poor health, I will pass. Re-built 3 and 4 speeds in a shop MANY years ago, also a junkyard. I am waiting until my grandson wants to.
It's also possible to see the exhaust pouring out of the oil cap and oil filler neck due to clogged EGR or PCV system, which is a cheap fix, but it will not do much if the problem is greater than that.
How did a 2zrfe engine start to give blowby at this low mileage these engines can go 300000+km without even giving a single issue I'm assuming this owner of this Corolla never changed the oil on time
Hello experts, My mechanic changed my top cylinder on my car toyota corolla 09 model due to a sound at the top cylinder. Note: that was the only issue my car had before I took it to him. Unfortunately, after the completion, I went to pick it up and in a 5 minutes drive away from the workshop, the car started misfiring and overheating. Eventually, the car couldn't start anymore and the mechanic went ahead and ringed my engine that there's low compression. I told him he spoilt my engine because it was in a good condition before I took it to him apart from the sound at the top cylinder. Please, what do you think caused that? He changed the top gasket as well. Your expert feedback is appreciated. Thanks.
In such a case I can't tell you anything without seeing it, if the engine compression is low, then the engine will have to be opened Check rings Piston and valve
I’m no rocket scientist, but all I heard was you about to lose your timing chain and VVT sprocket, possibly the exhaust side also, and a bad tensioner. Your plastic guides are probably cracked and screwed a bit also.
Those engines are very sturdy little beasts! I love the build quality of toyotas, but hate the direction the company has taken, subscription fees for the seat heater, come on! Cheap soft paint that requires a dealership installed 1500CAD "treatment" to get the advertised rust warranty, come on Toyota, you've caused me to never buy another toyota!
Most of the public is very stupid it's all has to do with the Toyota dealer they want you to change the oil every 10,000 Mi and that's what happens buddy soon as you hit 100,000 that's what your motor is garbage

If I had a shop, an engine puller, an engine stand, all the tools, someone to look over my shoulder and a lot of money, I would rebuild mine.

Always service on time and check your oil level..the zr engine can last a long long long time lol
Yes, you are right
Amazing just amazing
is the 2ZR-FE an interference engine? If the timing becomes off do the pistons contact the valves?
Yes
How many bolts is it to detach the alternator bracket???? I have removed 3 + 1 by water pump and it still won’t detach
All but two bolts have to be loosened

This must be caused by lack of oil and filter changes, and air filter? Owner at fault

@@MayoCarsDR What about time duration? Should engine oil be changed 2 times per year if it is not driven 5000 KM?
