- Lots of vehicles are being shipped out today on the west side. Car Carrier were leaving often. At the south extension work going on with the HVAC system for the future data banks that will be in operation.

3:45. Southend, east. Apron. Conduits and vaults. Power and control cabling for the Cooling Tower likely.
4:05 Southend, east. Level 1. Yellow membrane placed.
4:24. Southend, south. Fire Escape Passage extensions. Mud-base concrete placed.
4:48. Southend, south. West Fire Escape Passage extension. Slab edgeboard/formwork constructed.
5:09. Southend, diagonal corner. Glazing. Adding the cover plates at the corner.
7:43. Westside, Tunnel Project. Road deck segment with a cast-in manhole. Might be 2 here going by the notches cast-in to the short edge. Notches for conduits perhaps. More at 7:54.
13:38. Casting, east. Apron. Excavator sitting on a raised pad.
17:17. Tesla Road, north. Ductbank crossing. Excavation backfilled and compacted.
17:40. Cathode, west. Tank farm. An industrial gas delivery. Presumably liquid oxygen.
if it is LOX then high prob that the High Nickel NMC process is being commissioned. To be on the safe side I also googled the LFP cathode manufacturing process and then I found that the LFP sintering process uses N2. We need a close up for the stickers on the delivery vehicles.. An interesting find during the LFP research: The sintering is carried out using saggers (ceramic crucibles) into which the material is pressed before the filled saggers move through the kiln. I recall that a kind of stamping press was installed via a large side opening, already a long time ago. Maybe the filing of saggers using a press is standard practice also for NMC material.
@@hardernl8893 17:40. We know at least 6 of those 7 tanks are LOX. Will be interesting to see if the vaporizers can be seen operational. Same tanker company delivered a month ago (Joe's 14 June), but the vaporizers were never obviously operational.
The presses were by Sacmi. Curiously Sacmi specialize in presses for the ceramic industry. Would the crucibles be a consumable item? Single use perhaps. Both making the crucibles, and packing in the material.
re 4:48 We have seen walkways along the W and NW side with minimal concrete - only for pedestrians/cyclists after all. This slab under construction is industrial grade, looks suitable for the heaviest transports. Only for fire escape? I realize this is a tired, old discussion item but it struck me as hugely overdesigned.
@@hardernl8893 You have a good point. I thought these may be fire escape passages that may also be used for occasional deliveries of equipment. But @ 4:48 There is not much room for an access road or for trucks to back in. But maybe a truck with a delivery could pull up and a forklift can go back and forth down the passage, unloading the truck?
@@hardernl8893 4:48. My speculation is that there will be a road around the Southend the location of which will cross over the Fire Escape Passages. Therefore the roofs of the passages need to be trafficable, and structure below (walls, floor, footings) to carry that load.
Others have suggested the roofed passages would be to project from falling glass. That might be a side benefit. Not something I've seen around buildings with glazed facades before.
From interior views 6 weeks ago it also seems there is no elevator, only stairs. That rules out it being used for deliveries.
Just an observation. Giga Texas runs most all of their utilities underground, where as in Shanghai mostly is above.
Shanghai factory is built on a marsh, the "underground" is water!

@ 17:18 Duct-bank intersection/Site of a new structure.... Backfilled over existing north/south duct-banks. 48 conduit risers from the vaults on the new duct-banks sticking up out of the ground. 12 conduits for each vault. Whether or not they cut into the existing duct-banks at some point as Dessie speculated... There will be a new building, or buildings built or placed here. The next few days and weeks will be interesting.
Are we seeing the first results of the new 12 hour/4 day production schedule?

I did spot two men next to a box and fork lift, the one on the left was using a hammer on the box. The other had his back to the drone.
@BTSgigafactory I was the one with his back to the drone. Once I noticed the drone, I waved at it, but it was too late, lol
