The IEM world has honestly changed quite abit within this year, with lots of good budget and ultra budget contenders, and also a more wide spread presence of planar magnetics into the hobby of IEM's. I wonder how next year will go, maybe a 20 dollar planar magnetic 🤔
@@STAYCBias If you're new to the hobby, splurging all your money into end game IEM's isn't a wise decision. You should get an idea on what kind of tunings, fit, etc you like first, start cheap so that if you get a pair that you don't like, it doesn't hurt that you wasted that much money. One thing to always note about IEM's, or just audio in general, there never is an absolute best IEM out there, some characteristic are always going to be subjective, and you have to find out what subjective preferences you have.
Got the AE one day ago. I think it is quite an improved edition vs the OG. 1- got more balance, sub-bass increase makes the difference; 2- hear more warmth in male vocals and the recession is a bit less; 3- treble experience is smoother; 4- somehow notes are more defined, think the resolution is improved even more; 5- depth is also improved, like one layer more is present. Also I think they feel lighter and the cable is also far better.
I'm considering the AFUL P5, but I wonder if there's anything better I could get instead. I really need a good treat after handing in my bachelor's thesis.
They apparently asked 20 audio enthusiasts and they all said it’s better lol, that’s what the marketing says anyways. Dope stuff tho, I’m just jealous I can’t afford it right now. Timeless with more bass would be nice tho…
I hope they don't discontinue OG Timeless cause it's suddenly getting real hard finding those especially if the newer version that was supposed to replace it ends up a "lesser" version compared with the OG.
can agree / confirm that the AE collab is an interesting idea but in practice doesn’t work out well. just AB tested both over a weekend. the OG is so well balanced and works for all types of music. the new one puts bass above all else, at the cost of that tight low mid clarity the OG has, and also pushing those iconic planar upper mids down and out of the way. it takes away everything that made the timeless so TIMELESS! if you want more bass, get something else. i wouldn’t say the AE is an easier listening experience, unless easy means familiar.
Sounds like the timeless OG fits the taste of vocal lovers more :) Have my hands on the SA6 ultra for a while. 1) Bass is right on the amount I need. It is quick and fast, totally satisfy with it 2) Vocal is great, it is quite emotional, but I would love to get a little more forward vocal 3) Treble is well controlled, its smooth but more sparks are welcomed :) 4) Details are good enough, it’s the right amount which can listen for a long time without fatigue Might really go to grab the Gaea afterwards lol Edit: By far the most satisfy vocal I have listened to is ATH-IM02, but it is lacking the details and resolution :(
I've got the 7hz Timeless and was considering the sa6 ultra when there's stock back in (I think they'll drop the "only 300" made of the sa6 ultra). I'm really curious about any other differences between the 7hz Timeless and sa6 ultra. I've also got sennheiser ie600 which complement the 7hz Timeless very nicely). Equipment wise I'm using an A&K with uncompressed music (also LG v60 with ess Sabre quad dac).
I have timeless and pair it with ifi go blu and the go blus bass boost which is more emphasis on sub bass probably turns them into an AE so im not gonna be rushing for these
thanks @@8020Alive yeah it is indeed a pretty blue and may have grabbed these if I didn't already have timeless but tbh it works but I dont love fit of them so I was hoping to see them change shell a little bit

Seeing the changes done to the Timeless AE makes so happy for not pulling the trigger on the OG a while back lmao The cable tho 🤤 oh heavens Guess I'll save up a bit more as I wait for them to start becoming available in my area
i couldn't find any of the AE version with reasonable price (they cost double the price of the og version) in my country. will i be missing out a lot if i stick the og version?
Is it worth the upgrade? I just bought the original timeless, should I return them and get the AE version instead? Im using them mainly for gaming and music listening.
is the blessing 2 still worth it right now? s12? timeless? hook x? planning to grab 1 and be done with iem, but not sure which to pick. my only experience is the kz zs10 pro, looking for smthing that will wow me. pls help
I'm on the same boat. The KZ ZSX was an slight improvement on the fit and overall presentation for similar price but custom mold dual BA are hard to beat in term of comfort. Blessing-2 Crust Timeless AE Awful Performer5 Any of those could be endgame for me once I pull the trigger.
I personally can only extrapolate using their original counterparts but I'd say the Timeless would still be the better option. The S12/Z12 are pretty dead in the vocal region (to my ears) due to how V-shaped their tuning is while the Timeless doesn't suffer the same issue
I was split between getting the timeless ae or the blessing 2, when the sales started I pulled the trigger and purchased the blessing 2. Waiting for them to arrived in anticipation! Will likely pick up the timeless in time.
Now I'm really torn between this or the new Tangzu Heyday. I think I might have to weight my choices just down to the cable at this point lol. Big plus on the 2pin vs MMCX. Lost a pair of Intime Miyabi's due to a poor MMCX connection and pretty sure it somehow broke the connector. Can't go back to Japan to replace it since its been half a year already. Wonder if E-Earphone would be able to fix it since I remember them often having Intime build your own events.
@@The6thShadow That shouldn't be something you're doing that often? I'd rather have a strong connection. Right now I'm having an issue trying to use my FIIIO UTWS3 with my Truthear x Crinacle zero. The 2 pin connector on the fiio is different from the 2 pin on the zero (the zero has a recess) and they don't mate up securely. MMCX wouldn't have that problem since the connection itself snaps together.
To be fair, most people found that to be the biggest drawback to the original because MMCX connections are notoriously finicky and there isn't an actual industry standard for fitment. Probably why I bought the 2-pin UTWS 5 as well, the vast majority of IEMs use 2-pin and having to use an adapter for either one makes the hooks fit pretty clunky.
In terms of the timeless, unless you prefer a more clinical sounding set, the AE is probably a better choice. S12 is a different tuning altogether, and it's really up to preference. If you're asking for the S12 relative to the S12 Pro's, then I'm not really sure how they stack up against each other, so I can't say anything meaningful about how they compare
I’m going with symphonium meteor over these. Just can’t go with something that has no mids/vocals. These are described as deep v bass cannons. Don’t need that

the OG timeless is better! the AE loses the magic that made the original such a big deal. tight bass and super detailed mids. the AE throws off that finely tuned balance
