I've been using this TF cushion for about a month now. (Selfridges) It's a beautiful, medium coverage that lasts all day. This has some serious staying power for those long hours at my job. I use it over an illuminating primer to add some radiance. I love the Sisley cushion for a night out, but TF for a long day. Seriously, get both! Thanks. Michelle.. Love your reviews
I love Tom Ford cushion foundation: it’s light, doesn’t feel like wearing anything on my skin, but coverage is definitely there. I use it with concealer and powder and my makeup is the same at the end of the day although I have an oily skin. It oxidizes just a little bit but I’m fine with that❤️
Ughhhhh... ok I do prefer the Soleil to this one but that's because I prefer more radiance. But I LOVE the Sisley one. It's just gorgeous - a little less coverage than this one.
I’ve heard lots of wonderful reviews about all TF foundations. Those cushions are fantastic for pressing translucent powder onto face for long term affect. It really makes a difference. Michele, can you please start do a flash test with these product reviews? It would be helpful to know this information. This foundation is gorgeous on your pretty face. 💐💐💐
I have just bought the TF cushion. Loved it. Thank you so much for doing this review. May I know how do you normally clean the sponge that comes with the TF cushion?
I've never worn foundation before, just Burberry's BB cream and gel glow stick. I wanted to love this but at the end of the day, I saw a whitish cast on my face looking close up. I don't think it's for me, but maybe it's the wrong color. I much prefer the new Soleil Glow, which gives me the natural, no makeup makeup look. I used it with the Zoeva 110. Thanks for your review!
N K maybe it was the SPF? I personally thought a lot of the foundation looked like it had dissipated on Michelle by the end of the day as I could see a lot of her freckles that weren’t there before and her forehead went back to being darker than the rest of her face and o don’t believe she usually brings bronzer up there if it’s not a review (not sure though). If the makeup dissipates it could be you’re seeing the SPF whitish cast left behind, especially if you have combo/ oily skin that breaks down makeup more quickly than Michelle who has very dry skin.
@@anm0086 Possibly? I have 6 Natural in the Soleil Glow and it's exactly my shade but 4 Fawn was the closest in the Traceless. I have dry to normal/dry skin like Michelle and since both products have SPF, I'm wondering what's going on. I also got the Pink Glow Cushion based on Michelle's recommendation and don't have issues with that either. Each time I've used these I used the same base and no powder on top. Maybe it's the finish? Not sure being a foundation newbie but I'm hoping to try again when more shades come out.
I've definitely experienced that and I'm pretty sure it's the SPF that's leftover after the foundation itself has worn away. If it's a physical SPF, I bet that's what you're seeing.
Hi dear , you look gorgeous as usual... if you have to choose between this Tom Ford traceless cushion foundation and the stick version of this foundation which one you will select?? Which one looks more natural and even... thank you
great thorough review. i was so curious about the cushion and wondering if it was worth it to buy it all the way from asia i had no idea it was available online now so thanks. if the nars cushion ever becomes available over here will you please consider doing a review 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 im so curious about it
Thanks for the wear and review test! Would you still recommend this cushion foundation over the Tom Ford foundation stick - I currently own the foundation stick and was wondering if you had to pick one for travel, which one it would be. Thanks in advance :)
ahh it looks great on you & i’m so happy you can wear it too ! this is my favourite cushion but since i have combo-oily skin most cushions are not suitable. good to know it’s adaptable to different skintypes. i think satin matte means satin looking + matte texture, meaning a non-sticky or tacky feeling, unlike traditional cushions which lean towards dewy finishes. the coverage is very good, and the compact lasts longer than expected since less product is required. at 12g it outlasts my other favourite the dior forever cushion which has 15g of product. TF needs to extend their shade range though - i’m normally a 6 natural in their waterproof foundation (another favourite!) or 7 tawny after a holiday, but i can still wear 5.5 bisque which is the current deepest shade in their cushion range. i suspect they intended the cushions to be released only in asia originally, hence the shades and delay in having them. elsewhere. maybe now it’s available in the US and europe they will extend the shades in line with their other foundations ! 💗
I got this and it seemed a little too matte for me. I also ordered the serum one and I think it may be the best foundation I’ve ever used. I think it’s blurring and the packaging is perfect as it scrapes the extra off the dropper.
Great review and am excited to try this one !! I noticed that too on the Nordstrom website for the Chanel water tint. Now it's no longer available. Will just have to be patient I guess 😊😉. Hope you have a great day.
Nice review! Looks beautiful on your skin. Seems like a lot of companies are coming out with this type of foundation. I just saw Cle de Peau is coming out with new cream to powder foundation. I like that TF is medium coverage a lot of them are not. Thank you for review & wear test.
Mine arrives today - so many new TF foundation releases, but in very strange shade releases around the world - makes no sense to release multiple shades in Europe and Asia and just a few in the U.S. great review Michele
Hi Michele! Would you say that this is the (liquid) TF Traceless Perfecting foundation in a cushion or are these two foundations quite different? Thank you!
The color is a good match and goes on perfect with the sponge. Now on to the shade range. Lol. Cmon Tom, only three shades?!?! I love the cushion foundation and might have to try this one
Hi Michele, I use the same foundation color like you too. KGD 123, Clé de p O20, GA cream compact #4, but some how with this Tom Fort Cushion 1.5 is kind of white for my skin. Do u have that problem too?
Hi Michele big fan of your videos I get all my information on new releases from you :) I had a question for Tom Ford foundation what would you say is the difference between 1.5 Cream and 2.0 Buff? I noticed the soleil is only available in Buff and the one you reviewed here in Cream. Are these two shades very comparable? Is one darker or warmer than the other? I wanted to try one of his cushion foundations but I was not sure on color. I wear shade 20 in Chanel foundations and Vanilla in Chantecaille future foundation as a reference.
Have you seen the new TF Soleil Flawless Glow Foundation SPF 30 on the Nordstrom website? This sounds amazing! I hope so much that you will do a video on that!
The US rollout of this product was so bizarre. I remember it was originally supposed to be released last fall but got delayed (I heard a rumor it had something to do with the SPF but I'm not sure), and now that it's out there's maybe 3 shades. I got my hands on it in the shade Buff back in October thanks to my friend who sent it to me from Singapore and I actually found it a bit dry and tended to look a bit.. "makeup-y". It DID last all day without fading every time I wore it so I might give it another go in summer when my skin isn't so dry (if they ever release the deeper shades here).
Maybe use a moisturizing primer underneath? I didn't have primer, but had plenty of skincare down and it felt nice on the skin. I'd give it another shot! xoxo
Hope you got my messages about the La Mer Reparative Skin Tint being back in stock online at Nordstrom. They had Light and Light/Medium when I checked the website on Sunday.
@@TheMicheleWang According to the Nordstrom buyer(for La Mer) and La Mer representative who works at La Mer Corporate office they are NOT Discontinuing the Reparative Skin Tint. It's never been discontinued it's just been out of stock. 🤩
Thanks for reviewing this. I have a YSL Fusion Ink cushion foundation I picked up in Japan (can't find it anywhere stateside) and keep hoping I can find something comparable here. I agree with you that it looks better applied with a sponge. The first time I applied it I used a brush and it looked obvious and makeup-y on the skin. Hope they release more shades soon because three shades just doesn't cut it.
Here's a home remedy for allergies that worked for me: grate up half a small white potato until you get 4-5 teaspoons of an applesauce texture and eat it day and night for about 2 weeks. It's really gross and starchy but I just held my nose and swallowed it and have not had allergies for years. You can add a bit of grated apple to the mix to make it more palatable.
Eyelashes: just as I said aloud,’her eyelashes look great - what mascara is she wearing?’, you said you weren’t wearing mascara. Seriously, your lashes look longer and darker - lots of flutter. Are you using a lash serum? btw, foundation color is perfect match to your neck/chest. Really natural healthy glow finish. Like others I am looking forward to the Soleil wear test to compare these two. I am looking for a natural looking SPF compact to use on backpacking trips. If I have to wear sunscreen, it may as well be pretty.
Oh wow - thank you! No, I haven't been using a serum or anything. I guess I was having a good lash day. 😅Cushion foundations are great for touch-ups!! And perfect to throw into a bag 👍

This was my ONLY foundation, but it's been discontinued. HELP! Are there any you recommend that are very similar or dupe for this?

The 2.0 Buff is a teensy tiny bit warmer than 1.5 Cream. I can get away with wearing both. I'm also usually 20 in Chanel foundations.
Michele Wang Thank you!

Hello frm Hong Kong
Yes I think I’m interested on the eyeshadows quad

Are there any lesser priced for people who can't afford Tom Ford that have about the same results
There are a ton of Korean cushions that are reviewed on you tube, well made and affordable. Check out Korean beauty bloggers.
@@providence51 thank you
You mentioned that you have your skincare on first and am wondering if that includes your sunscreen?
Yes! I've been using the Kypris Heliotropic Pot of Shade with an SPF 30.
How the coverage compared with La Met? I’m really interested in this cushion foundation
I think the TF has a teeny bit more coverage. The La Mer wasn't my favorite so I haven't used it in awhile, but that's what I recall.
