I wear my natural hair like this all the time but I can’t stand the shrinkage so I would love to try it with added hair so that it would fall and show more length!

These are the most natural looking extensions I've ever seen! All the twists look different and have their own character. On the places where your hair sticks out, you can't see it because it blends in. If you hadn't shown me this I would have thought all of that was your real hair. It looks beautiful, good job.

Your hair turned out beautiful 😍 My bob twists took only 4 hours. They were pencil sized. To cut time in half, make bigger parts at first, then the next day or whenever you're free, redo some of the bigger parts into smaller sections until you have a head full of mini twists. That way, your hair stays done regardless!
I put edge control on the roots and end of my hair when I do my braids because it helps mold the hair into the braid. I’m sure it would work here too. This style is so cute. It’s definitely my next style. I used to always do this with my natural hair before I did a big chop last year. You style adds body and looks good.

😍 love. If anyone wants to try it: To prevent the pieces sticking out, maybe you can twirl and twist (like a senegalese/rope twist) the part of the twist where your hair is ending. But I think this is only an issue if your ends are blunt. 😊

As far as your ends peeking out you can try an edge gel, wax stick on the ends. Eco has a beeswax and Murray as well. I use the foam on my natural twist....I hope that it does something extra....I even use it when trying to refresh the look.

I love how juicy the twists look. I would suggest using a little Jam n Shine on the tips while twisting your ends. Another tip is to brush or comb the hair into twist hair when you get to your ends to blend them together. This can help keep your ends from sticking out.

I don't usually do protective styles back to back like that but I ain't got time for my hair right now lol. I used the Freetress water poppin plus the regular poppin twist. I mixed them so my hair had something with more texture to hold on to. I, also, used jam plus a hair cream to keep my hair together. Next time I'll probably try gel for the ends.

You can keep the hair from poking by using a braiding or locing gel while twisting nothing too heavy, but I believe the imperfections is what brings an authentic look anyway. I just did my mini twists with extensions for longevity not length and you can’t tell me it’s not my hair 🤞🏾

I have the same style but I didn't cut the hair in half because I wanted it longer. It's been about 2wks and I just washed it. I may (or may not) cut it shorter but it's so light and airy. Just like as if it was your natural hair....It took me like 10-12hrs idky because regular braids only take me about 5-7 but hey. It's my fave style at this point.

It's like one i started twisting after the braided root part my hair did not want to blend with the extension hair. I'm so sad. I was really looking forward to having this look. Hey I know I’m a bit late but my hair is pretty short I did a big chop. I just had these in but i used 24 inches and didn’t cut it. What i did was braid my hair down, and then crotcheted the freetress hair into the top of the braid. Braided the hair into the freetress and then where my hair stopped i started twisting. I used braiding jam as well
I’m going to try this. I usually do my natural hair like this, but I love short bobs. One lady said she did this style for $10! I did it with color 4. It took a very long time. I should’ve blow dried my hair. I blow dried the crown and it was easy to finish. I wet and blow dried my ends. I forgot to do it the first day before cutting, so I need to fix some of the back braids cuz they unraveled. I didn’t wet and brush out the hair but will next time. I really like my hair. 😊❤

i love this length on you. The poking through only helps with making it look like scalp. which is always the effect to go for. i love that hair for twists. i use the rubber band method because I am delinquent with the upkeep and though the braids are more natural looking, I can get 2 month with minimal breakage with the rubber bands. meanwhile, 2 months with braids and twists in and id be bald trying to separate the matting. You look wonderful sis!

once uu finish the plaiting part put product on your hair , comb it then start twisting your hair will lay in the twist

The poking through only helps with making it look like scalp. which is always the effect to go for. i love that hair for twists. i use the rubber band method because I am delinquent with the upkeep and though the braids are more natural looking, I can get 2 month with minimal breakage with the rubber bands. meanwhile, 2 months with braids and twists in and id be bald trying to separate the matting.

I could be wrong lol but I'm guessing she meant:
*for the bottom of the back side, she used less than half of the extension (cut off an extra 1.5")
*for all other sides, she used half the extension

Hey Jess, Put a little edge control or gel at the ends of your hair to keep them from sticking out. Your stick out ain't bad at all but that's what I do to mine.
