Ranged, healers, and tanks: you have a chance to get a benefit. Melee: you have a chance to get a benefit. That benefit has a chance to be taken away from you by doing your rotation. Really not a fan of the losing streak tier sets
I get I might be in the minority but I don’t mind the logic behind that. Me personally I enjoy when I’m doing same rotation and from pull to pull have a potential 10% variance in damage

It doesn't matter as long as the damage is good, see past text and look into gameplay / numbers. It feels a lot better to cash off a big Spender ability than have a random proc
Tbh I don’t mind the role bonuses except for the tank ones, dear god please don’t make tank survivability rng. Give us cdr. The tank 4 piece sets are perfectly fine (the vengeance one is pretty cool especially) but just please, please don’t make it random bursts of survivability. It doesn’t matter how strong or weak it is, it simply feels bad. I’d rather them either make the survivability deterministic or cut the survivability part entirely and make the offensive part more interesting
depending on how the tank defensives work it could be really good or meh cause if the procs happen while that cd is active and it extends their duration cool if it replaces it kinda shitty but overall i feel like it will proc when you dont need it but its just extra dr the interesting thing will be if it interacts with other talents that interact with that ability like the talent for warr where shield wall and avatar can proc the other.
I don't tank at all so this isn't my opinion, but Max expressed the opinion that it provides interesting gameplay because while you may not rely on the RNG survivability, it can give you situations where if it does proc in a good spot you can react to it and save pressing a defensive in that situation and then have it in your back pocket for later in case something goes wrong. Basically, as long as you're not tuned to the RNG being necessary to survive situations, it creates reactionary/adaptive gameplay. Again, not my opinion, I don't tank. Just what Max was saying on his stream yesterday when going through these
Cook for Luck of the Draw! 2p: Instead of "gives you X amount of buff" change it to "gives you X amount of cooldown reduction on buff" and then for the ones that don't already have it, you'd probably have to give those cooldowns a second charge.
Lock and load is procced off of auto crits. So I think the logic is you hit a jackpot, get a ton of lock and loads, then shoot a ton of explosive shots and do big aoe without pressing trick shots

Isn't it kind of better to have the Frost/Enhancement Winning Streak? If your spenders stack the winning streak and your builder can reset it then you have more control and less chance of resetting it rather than the other ones that are purely RNG based since it's all tied to the same ability?
In theory I guess yes, like it is better to have a skill gap than RNG. But in actual practice there's no chance in hell you're getting a dps gain from eschewing obliterates for frost strikes, especially when the buff is a measly 10/16%. Blizzard could buff frost strike by 16% flat no strings attached today and nobody would even notice it ever.

Havoc s1 set bonus gives you 20% blade dance damage and 12% chaos strike damage (plus a chance to reset blade dance cooldown). Now read what we get in s2. After a laughable S1 for DH, it's looking like more of the same next season, especially after seeing the patch notes...
i feel like the bdk tier set is a letdown especially compared to the prot pally one. The 4pc should have been something like - grant 10 bone shield stacks and shatter one every 1 sec for 10 seconds. 2 rp reduction on DS over a 8s period is basically nothing and the cleave is kind of cool but you don't want to cast death strike that often anyway so it's only going to get like 2 casts and it's useless for single target. I guess a lot of this depends on how ofter it actually procs but I can't imagine it's more than once every minute.
I'm cool with these. they seem fun and interesting. good job blizz. I mean, this is just a cursory glance at things. there's a lot of math to crunch etc. but flavor-wise, seems cool to me! especially for arcane mage. aether attunement (the aoe arcane missiles proc) is the MOST FUN part of arcane for me. seeing all those missiles auto target and delete enemies is a real power trip type of feeling. Very happy with the arcane set bonuses.
i like this idea of 2-set being role based with a current patch theme. also, since i haven't enjoyed hunter in a LONG time, im SO pumped for these upcoming updates and reworks for them. blizzard really cooked here.
Okay so the big TLDR is that every spec is locked into their lowest CDs that gives JackpotWinningstreakInsurance. For example SP can forget void eruption as a 2 minuter when there is dark ascension for 1min and both activate 2pc. And if you are a 3min CD guy, reroll now 🤣🤣
If VDH meta procs also allow the use of felscar stuff, this set is 8 to 10 times stronger than all the other tanks. This needs to be a non felscar-buffed meta.
Assuming nothing changes (which it might, but right now we have no reason to believe it will) just add 39 ilvl to whatever you have this season and you'll have the equivalent in season 2. The max ilvl for example is 678, which is 639 (current season max) + 39

All 3 of Evokers's bonuses sounds very boring, which i'm honesly fine with as it's less restrictive and both Preservation and Devastation is really fun. Augmentation needs a lot more skill expression before i seriously play it again.

I like these set bonuses to be honest. Better than some classes just getting objectively inferior set bonuses. That may still happen, but I imagine this brings the power of the tier set bonuses closer together for most specs. Then we can tune the specs themselves rather than tuning around seasonal set bonuses
lets not have set bonuses then, and also no stats, just ilvl. lets remove everything for the game that is unique and fun, everyone should be just one number!

I'm so glad I don't play melee DPS... Winning Streak sounds like an awful design that makes you feel bad even if it can output high numbers. Losing a streak will ALWAYS feel bad psychologically regardless of the numbers.
As a tank this is meh. Throughout WoWs entire history, anything that has said "chance on taking damage" has always been just plain bad to sometimes mediocre. The only tank this might be good on is brew, but usually stagger is blacklisted from effects like this so it just ends up being bad like it is for every other tank. Swing and a miss from Blizzard, per usual.

Frost DKs do not take Glacial Advance normally. Its cast by using Obliterate which does remove the Winning Streak buff.
