Nice finds!! Don't quote me on this, but I think elk were originally more of a desert animal than what we are used to seeing now days with them in the high country. I know of a few spots where elk shed in some low, low desert country that you wouldn't even think they'd be by looking at a map. Sometimes, it pays to put boots to the ground and explore. Nice haul!

Beautiful country and the sheds are an awesome bonus! If I'm in terrain that doesn't warrant using my Juniper walking stick I'll carry two and strap the stick to my pack and save some weight on my back!
