From what you say, I get the impression this can be used with a laptop? In other words, I could review footage on my Windows 11? Is this true? Or does it have to be on a "Smartphne"? I have a really good laptop with Windows 11 - but my phone is not good and refuses to do anything I ask it to do.
that was VERY helpful. I just started looking at security cameras for my home but I don't want to subscribe to services that put my data on their cloud. I want to control it and I don't want to pay for someone to alert fire and such. Just the ability to watch things or check on a "lost" package. The panasonic site, maybe I didn't look deep enough, didn't explain the capacities of the SD card so I'd just about written them off. this will hold many days if you buy it and I avoid having to stage a DVR box. simple implementation is a huge benefit. Panasonic HomeHawk is back in play. Thanks
Great review. I bought one recently now sold out again on Amazon. I have not set it up yet and thinking of returning it. I wish I could download the video or email the video it records from my phone or tablet, but as of today, it can not. One has to pull out the SD card, and then you have to search through the SD card on your PC for the one you want. ALSO, I love that it can work with Alexa / Echo, however I wish it could work with IFTTTrigger . Then Alexa would make an announcement that motion is detected on this camera through the IFTTTrigger, like my Wyze V2 camera does. With the HomeHawk you have to have your phone or tablet with you to hear a notification of motion from the Homehawk. Thank you for your review. I do hope Panasonic can do some upgrades to it.
Very helpful to see the quality of the images and performance of the motion detection, thank you! I chose them because they are made by Panasonic. The Chinese candidate cameras just don't compare and require me to give all of my permissions to their apps before the cameras will connect and work. Yay for Panasonic!
If they just broke your window and took the camera, you wouldn't know what happened. That's how useful Panasonic HomeHawk is. No cloud storage means evidence is all in the camera.
Thanks for the video...if you don't have wifi could you still set the camera software on a laptop via a USB cable?

I would like to see what the recording looks like from the 2nd floor and what the clarity of the recordings.

Are there other cameras like this one that suction to the window ?
I haven't seen another company do this yet
Wyze cam v3.
Cool. They sold out on Amazon
I did see that, hopefully they will get some more up very soon:)
Hello Chris
Hello Jeanetta:) I hope your having an amazing day:)
Don't get your hopes up if you don't live in USA. That's the only place you can buy it and the only place it works.
